Speaking from my own experience: mind my own business!!!
Coworkers like that tend to be sneaky and manipulative. Unless it's something serious, telling on them won't do anything other than maybe them getting wrote up, or reprimanded... if that.
And if they find out you're the one that threw them under the bus? Haha, you're screwed. They will make your work life a living hell!
So let karma deal with them. Eventually they're going to dig a hole so deep, they won't be able to lie their way out.

The only time I would care is if it's going to affect me or another co-worker I respect. At an old job the AM lied about a co-worker who was her friend doing the opposite of what she was caught doing and tried to throw me under the bus to save her friend but that blew up in her face when I did and because my boss FACT checked, and so did HR. The girl was fired and outside of work, karma really got the AM so sometimes the universe takes care of itself.

There are times it's simply not worth it and it's better to let karma or themselves dig their own hole because I've tried to highlight people like that and it always backfires...
