Can anyone recommend a good online driving school?
i just don't want to give my money to a fake driving school online

When I went to Drivers ED My mom payed a lower fee for a sub par driving school and it really showed. I was never able to have in person driving lessons for one reason or another on my part but other than that it was only learning rules and paperwork. If you have someone that owns a car and would let you practice with them I think that would be your best bet as everything else you can get online. I don't know how all that would fair in New Jersey since it's a city, like I don't know if they're are any areas where there's less traffic, or back roads, or a somewhat empty parking lot. Driving school can just be a lot of money, if you discipline yourself to find the things online and pay for certain certificate programs when needed it can be a lot cheaper. But if you just don't know anyone with a car you can use then driving school might be your only option. :/
I would ask ScotishLegend because he is very knowledgable. But it might be hard as I think you have him blocked.
age 25 (assuming correct) and no permit yet? In the mostly suburban and rural USA? How is that possible?
Ah, the very urbanized Northeast, that makes sense. Also the proliferation of Lyft and Uber has changed the situation much, I realize that. It's not the 1980s anymore, and you are not in suburban California like I was. Anyway, there are professional driving schools, but you are not a bodyguard to a VIP. Any local driving school in the (now online) phone book will do.
