I wouldn’t call this lazy you know, sacrificing everything you know and love in your home country to help rebuild another country and to simultaneously give yourself and your children or future children better opportunities than you had yourself while at the same time when you get here you work your ass off and still have to encounter racists who hate you for being brown and beat you up because they didn’t like the colour. That’s not lazy if anything that’s the opposite of lazy. Yet for so many years they were still poor.
