Would you make your children do extracurricular activities?

These activities could be volunteer work, sports, Young Marines/JROTC, martial arts or really anything. Extracurricular simply means it is something outside the normal school day. Extracurriculars can be through the school or something entirely separate. When I have kids, I definitely plan on putting them in extracurricular activities. There is only so much a kid can learn in school. I want these extracurriculars to help supplement my child's education and to hopefully expose them to options beyond high school that go beyond just college. I want to expose my child to as many things as possible to prepare them for as many routes in life as possible. This way they know all their options before being plunged into adult life.
