What flees you from donating blood?

As I know the only source for human blood in hospitals is donators. Yet it's difficult to keep up with the demand at least in my region.

As for myself, since the pandemic broke out, I work mostly home-office. Back when then some medical guys came to the office complex and set up their station. It was a "generous excuse" to break from work while having all my colleague-friends to attend the donation while having fun talks.
Now I'm just stuck at home and lazy to go to town and take part.
