I'm sorry. I think it's because I live in the extremely expensive Seattle that it seems so low to me.
You could buy a house in the South or in Texas within two years with that kind of money. You need to get out of Seattle. It's not California, but there's not much there to stay for, either.

Maybe it's because I live in one of the most expensive cities in the US (Seattle) that it seems low. But you're right. Good luck on the promotion!!
I used to live in Bellevue with my parents and moved out to the Bay Area. So it’s probably even lower here! But my rent is only 980 so I have a good amount of money left over. I don’t have enough to buy but not sure I want to buy a house in the Bay Area. Too many stupid dogs here low income people blah
I used to live in seattleand I hated it. It’s too white there. I’m glad I moved. Also I get my salary plus benefits and free lunch most days
I know this guy I worked with at Meijer and he got offered a Gov't job in DC for $100,000 plus and it sounded great , but he told me that he would barely get by there. So he stayed. He was a nice guy with problems. His son committed suicide and daughter had problems too. He won the lottery , like $200,000 I think and then died. Medical problems.
Yes, in large part because it determines so many other things about life.
Sorry. I do live in a very expensive city (Seattle) so that's why it seems low to me.
I live in Los Angeles. What’s your point?
