If a student opened a Bible and read out loud from the old testament that homosexual sodomites should be put to death, will the freedom of religion still apply? Guess not.
Of course it would. Illinois isn't Texas. They'd be shouted down, because it's a radically unpopular idea, but that would be the case whether it had anything to do with religion or not.
The name Satan shouldn't be encouraged or displayed as something noble, when Satan represents misery, violence, hate and murder.
If we were to make this a religious debate I suppose my key argument would be that if God tolerates Satan so can you. It is obviously His will that Satan be allowed to exist. But really I feel school should have nothing to do with religion. If it does, it should be equal to all. Reality is that the Satanic Temple is just a religion which, despite the name, stands for only good things and doesn't worship any diety - not even Satan. It is against the fundamental laws to ban it and doing so would be a slap in the face towards the entire legal system. The satanic temple would probablt be thrilled if schools separated from religion though.
