Most companies have an online policy. It's usually a little finer wording but it says don't talk shit about your job if you wanna keep your job. Doesn't matter if there's HR or not. Your boss will fire your ass for doing dumb shit like this
I am not a lawyer, but I would think that the normal rules regarding slander or libel would pertain, i. e., the truth would be a complete defense to such charges.
If there are any lawyers reading this I would appreciate a comment.
Lol you can do what u want but they could try to fire you but if you left the job, you didn't sign s NDA so you can say what ever you want.

I don't know if that's clear enough under the law to be considered a Physical Threat. You could ask a lawyer. It sounds like a Physical Threat. If you have the email of the person who sent it then yeah you could show the police.
it is illegal, in violation of the 1st amendment but also it possibly threatens bodily harm. i am NOT a lawyer or law enforcement officer, i would reccomend asking a professional.
@APrettyLittleLady87 love it! There is no First Amendment violation since your job isn’t saying you can’t post whatever you want. They’re just saying you won’t have a job the next day.
Someone I know, while working as an aircraft dispatcher, posted on social media that her workload was unsafe. The time stamp showed she was at work when she posted that.
@MikeInHawaii Well if she's fucking around on social media & not doing her job properly no wonder it isn't safe. Did she happen to keep her job? Or was she rightfully fired for being incompetent?
@MikeInHawaii - see there's a place to say what she did. Bring it to her boss, bring it to the person above them even. Writing anything negative about the business you work for... you might as well be out the door already.

They can make the claim, but as long as you're smart about it and leave out identifiable details they should not know it's you.

That is risky. I have never heard of anything like that.
Depends on the state, but not really. Its bout public image. They can't sue you for it but they can terminate your employment.
Being threatened to 'watch your back' is a reference to violence, its obviously illegal and criminal so you should report it to the police.
In a right to work state you can be fired for anything at anytime and there is nothing you can do about it except collect unemployment.
Not really most contracts stipulate that you can't publicly name and disgrace your employers business.
I’d say Just for that little threat Do what the employer Threatened you not to do.
get a vpn and hide your ip an post your review anonymously.

Do you happen to have a job? One that requires more skills than scooping poop or flipping burgers.
Most companies would fire ANY employee immediately for doing so. Common sense.

If you work for the company may not be illegal but they can fire you for saying something derogatory about them.
Yes it is. Threatening to harm someone taken serious. I’d exposes them and the email.
No idea, maybe deformation or slander.
Well no. It's usually a part of code of conduct.
It's always illegal to threaten someone
