Unfortunately emergencies do happen & if a boss tells me they will write me up I just tell them to make sure they spell my name right.0
when i have family emergencies, i quickly write the email or tell them and just fucking leave. fuck them. emergencies are important. they never cared, they told me to go do what i have to do. i'd rethink continuing to work for that company if they wrote me up for something more important than working... i'd honestly tell HR about it. they may not do anything, so you may have to go higher than HR. what they did isn't right.13
