My boss wrote me up because I had to abruptly leave work for an emergency. Is this insensitive or something normal?

If someone wrote me up for an emergency that meant I won't see a family member again, he can go fk himself. Either I'll see him my next shift or ea a dick.
But to answer your question, it's normal. The business will and can write you up for burping too loudly in the funkin' breakroom if there's a need for it.
Yeah it’s just so fucking evil. Like have some empathy! The woman is a bitch.
It's not uncommon for employers to have policies in place regarding attendance and unexpected absences from work. However, it's important for employers to also show empathy and understanding in situations where employees have to leave work unexpectedly due to emergencies.
If you had to leave work for a legitimate emergency, such as a family member's medical emergency or an unexpected personal crisis, it may be worth discussing the situation with your boss to see if there are any options for resolving the issue.
If your employer has policies in place regarding attendance or unexpected absences, it's important to be aware of these policies and follow any necessary procedures. However, if you feel that the write-up was unfair or unjustified, it may be worth discussing the situation with HR or a higher-level manager to see if there are any options for addressing the issue.
It's important to prioritize your wellbeing and address any personal emergencies or crises as needed, while also being mindful of your work obligations and responsibilities.
Unfortunately emergencies do happen & if a boss tells me they will write me up I just tell them to make sure they spell my name right.
when i have family emergencies, i quickly write the email or tell them and just fucking leave. fuck them. emergencies are important. they never cared, they told me to go do what i have to do. i'd rethink continuing to work for that company if they wrote me up for something more important than working... i'd honestly tell HR about it. they may not do anything, so you may have to go higher than HR. what they did isn't right.
Well it caused emotional distress that made me think I was gonna lose my job. I literally felt like I had to quit everything I was doing. This place has been so toxic. The bitch manager literally asked me if I even want to work. Fucking bitch.
Oh but fast forward a year later and she fired me for taking 1 single day off. The. Entire. Year. When In reality she didn’t want to pay me for 50 hours of overtime work I did in one week. So they fired me and said it’s because I “lied” about being sexually harassed/assaulted by another male coworker.
Im about to receive a 100K settlement since I hired an attorney.
well damn, good on you for taking legal action. i wish you the best

And the emergency was. . ?
A mini stroke or TIA.
You are very young to experience transient ischemia.
Yes but it’s still possible. My birth control probably caused it.
Yes, that is a possble consequence of hormonal brth control for women. Did you seek medical treatment for the TIA?
