I've been at my job for 2.5 years.

Every few months we have nominations and then awards for people doing a good job.

I've been covering for our 2 receptionists every week when the decide not to show up for work. The longest I've covered was for 3 weeks twice. Every Monday one of them calls in sick.

I've had to do a few days by myself and. y boss wasn't there to help or even check on me to see if it was going ok.

I've also been going through 30 year old boxes files looking for their deeds and wills on of that.

The receptionist has only been here 2 months and she got nominated.

I never have.

I put in a lot of hard work doing their cover. If it wasn't for me, there would be noone to do their job.

I'm happy for her but also mad at the same.

I feel like they just give me the crap stuff.

So annoyed.

Nowadays everyone gets a trophy. Doesn’t matter if you are a good worker, doesn’t matter if you are a bad worker, everyone gets a trophy. As for you you’re a good worker & you know it & I’m sure other people know you are a good worker as well. As for nominations unless they lead to pay increases I wouldn’t let it grind your gears & if truth be told I think all the nomination stuff is a bunch of bullshit & it’s a spirit builder for workers who aren’t doing well or workers that are new.
