Moonlight (Outstanding Black Film)

This movie is so good i'm writing this review halfway into it. As A black person I love seeing Black films and art. The first time I heard of moonlight was when everyone on twitter felt the cast were snubbed at the Oscars by Lala Land, which is literally every basic white Hollywood movie, bland script. That lead me to Jay Z's music video "Moonlight" which is also amazing! The video started with a small scene in the beginning which portrayed an all black cast as the infamous "Friends Show" reenacting a actual scene with a few tweaks. However if you didn't know Friends was and is a rip off of a black show called "Living Single" which came out before Friends. Literally every character in Friends is parallel to the characters of Living Single just white, Queen Latifah spoke more on this with James Corden. Anyways after the "scene" cut one of the male castmates friend talks about how the show is just a black Friends and wack at that. After that the song plays, which you should definitely check out for yourself and dissect the lyrics. So basically the video is about black art being ripped off and that even when we create beautiful things we never get our credit. but also after seeing only the trailer of both movies we could clearly see which film is superior. Pt 2 coming... this is going somewhere lol
