What song never fails to make you cry?
What Girls & Guys Said1616
A Christmas song actually..."Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" sung by Frank Sinatra. I'll being doing something during the Christmas season, hanging lights on a tree, or baking X-mas cookies, or sitting in front of the fire place with family, and the song will come on, and it reminds me how very lucky I am in life and reminds me so much of family who is no longer with me. I always get a little bit misty, but its like a happy/sad moment all at once.
Basically all songs fail, but there is one that managed it once when i had a broken heart.
The way she sings is so broken, such a beautifull song.
But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

Sara Bareilles - She Used To Be Mine
The song is from the musical Waitress based on the movie of the same name. She's singing about herself.
It hits a little too close to home.
She's imperfect but she tries
She is good but she lies
She is hard on herself
She is broken and won't ask for help
She is messy but she's kind
She is lonely most of the time
She is all of this mixed up
And baked in a beautiful pie
She is gone but she used to be mine
It's not what I asked for
Sometimes life just slips in through a back door
And carves out a person and makes you believe it's all true
And now I've got you
And you're not what I asked for
If I'm honest, I know I would give it all back
For a chance to start over and rewrite an ending or two
For the girl that I knew

Mostly music that generates emotions based on something it was attached to. Like a movie or an event or something. For example, at the end of Mass Effect 3, the music "An End Once and For All'' plays where everything you have busted your gut trying to do turns out in a really sad ending. I won't spoil it, but what happens in the end is incredibly sad and almost brings me to tears.
Youtube search for it and try not to feel sad from listening to it.
Then a hero comes along... with the strength to carry on..
