  • Immensely. I thought the conversation the movie provoked about responsibility to one's community and beyond that our responsibility to the human race was compelling.

You have the ending scenes where T'Challa pledges to build a community center in Los Angeles to help with poor "Black" communities. Then you have the scene where T'Challa is at the podium at the UN pledging that Wakanda would share its resources with the rest of the world.

It is an interesting conversation. The movie reaches its own conclusions of course. But it is debatable. That isn't the course the world is on now. Right now, many nations are pursing nationalist isolationist policies. Many are like the old guard in Wakanda. That "outsiders" are trouble. And we have some folks involved in the conversation who have no good intentions at all. They simply spin from one position to the next depending upon which gives them the biggest advantage in whatever debate they are having.

But an honest discussion about the movie's primary moral conclusion it something people should have.

But that is what sets it apart from all the other hero flicks I have seen.

The good thing about traditional nationalists is that at least they are consistent.

What Girls Said 2

  • It's definitely the most original Marvel Movie that's been put out in a long time and honestly it's so refreshing.

Also nice to see a marvel movie with a color pallette that isn't muddy concrete. (https://youtu. be/hpWYtXtmEFQ)

What Guys Said 8

  • I enjoyed it. I like how the movie had a different vibe than all of the modern Marvel movies.

Having a strong cast of co-star protagonists that were female, combined with having an anti-hero instead of a bona-code villain, was a nice mix-up for the Marvel film franchise 👌🏾

  • Was a very very Solid movie.
Awesome Fight scenes, visualy amazing, had just two ex machinas

But, kilmonga should not have been able to find wakanda and the vibranium Armor Made it so you hardly worry about the Main Character. Also i Had a Problem with the Energy absorbing thing.
It feels Like... Captains shield, its there but doesn't make any sense

  • The only part I liked was Tchalla's "Heroes journey" everything else was pretty generic. ALL the fight scenes are spoiled in the trailers. The Vibranium acted as a "Catch all" for plot devices, yet wasn't fully explained.

  • Yes - this is coming from a DC fan.
I enjoyed how they "introduced" the character's background. It felt like watching Ironman 1 again. LOL.

  • Solid 85/100. Great fights, compelling villian, good hero arc, and interesting side concepts. May not win oscars, but enjoyable nonetheless
