  • The Juggler of Notre Dame; exceptionally sad, a tale of a man's destruction and a final moment of redemption. Highly recommended for couples old enough to understand the complete significance of death and self-torture.

  • Love actually. It's funny though, cause it's more of a happy movie but I was going through a really tough time of love (unrequited) and it really messed me up. Seeing all those people so happy and together it just gave me this huge sense of longing for someone as well in my life like romantically. It was very sad. Especially since it was the first time that I watched it. So all of those feelings kind of came out and so far it's one of the only two movies for which I've cried.

  • Les Miserables.

It's even called "the miserable." If you can make it to the end of that movie/musical without your eyes watering up, then you have no heart.

  • The final of Once. It reminds me of the relationship I had.

We did enjoy the company of each other, we developed something more than a friendship from the beginning, and unfortunately we had to leave our bubble to focus on our daily life.

  • Justice League

In all seriousness though I tend to avoid sad movies as a rule of thumb. However, Click with Adam Sandler thought it was gonna be funny then it does a 180 and cried like a baby.

Also not movies but there are 2 episodes of Futrama, 3 How i met your mother, and that one Full Metal Alchemist I refuse to watch ever again.

  • Not sure of film but the episode of Buffy where she sacrifices herself for dawn makes me cry everytime.

I’m sure there is a film, I just can’t bring it to mind. I find tv shows worse because you build a familiarity towards the characters
