What are the best bands/songs from the 80s?

I met someone that says very little good music comes from the 80s. Help me prove them wrong.

I would agree with them. The 80s were probably the worst decade for at least the last 100 years. Music went seriously down hill in the late 70s and didn't recover until the 90s.

Sure, there were some good bands and songs in the 80s, but compared to other decades, it was a very slow decade, with very little that really stands out.

  • The someone you met Maybe certified genius but when it comes to music he's a fucking idiot the 80s had incredible music start with the Psychedelic Furs, or Simple Minds how about Bon Jovi or Suzanne Vega. Yeah there was a lot of crap but that's only because there was so many different and varied types of music the 80s we're probably the most musically diverse and plentiful time the world has ever seen you had pop you had Rock you had alternative we had Punk I love 80s music Take a Look for yourself I would start with something odd and incredible like the Psychedelic Furs

  • 1980s music was quite diverse. It has a feeling to it over Al that makes you think of the 1980s. Where to begin I am not sure but I do know a lot of what I consider good will be left off the list or else it would be super long. He are musical acts I like.
