I've had a long history with it, since I was 6 years old and have loved playing them ever since. There's just something so captivating, engaging and heart-warming about playing them and waiting for a sequel or a follow- up game for excitement so the fun and stories never end! The gameplay, the music, the storyline (if there is one) and memorable characters that you often never forget!I started with the Sega Genesis playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2, then went up to Nintendo Gamecube for Pokemon, Mario and Legend of Zelda. Now I've been playing on just about every console imaginable! It's such a hobby of mine and when I have people to play them with including my girlfriend, best friends and even strangers I don't know, those multiplayer games can be a blast! The RPG ones are quite lovely too for single player if I wanted something more story-drvien which I'm in the mood for all the time! All and all, I highly enjoy every genre of video games except for sports which I can't seem to get into for some reason. It makes me happy knowing you love to play them too! Do you have any favorites that catch your attention? :)
Right now xenoblade chronicles 2 is a big favourite i'm sure i will be able to actually complete it soon if only i could open that one door XD and i'm kind of waiting for borderlands 3 so i can play it with my brother
I was so curious about that one because I've only played the first one on the Wii so it makes excited to see what this one holds! And you playing Borderlands 3 when you're under 17 years of age? That's not allowed! 😱 But honestly though, it's really not that violent so you should be ok with an adult buying it for you xD All great choices! You have good tastes in video games :)
Thank you and i mean my brother was the one who got me intrested in borderlands 3 at first and since he told we could play it together then it should be alright like he wouldn't even suggest me something thats inappropriate ><
If you don't mind the blood, swearing and sexual themes, you should be ok :) I do admit though, that game series is probably one of the greatest co-op adventures out there to be honest! I'd definitely suggest it :)
A number of video games are entertaining and even educating. Those are the games I would go for if I was into video games. Then you have those that glorify violence, murder and other negatively perceived traits of character. Those are not really good games since they only promote violence to win.I much rather play a game that needs my brain cells to find a logical solution to a problem to one that only needs to to repeatedly press on the trigger to move forward to the next level. Those are totally boring and don't really bring anything to education.
Depends on which video games, some are amazing and immersive but most are boring and a waste of time. Also after you are used to certain level of complexity in life, most video games start becoming very unimaginative and filled with pointless tasks. Current trend is non linear narrative and player decisions have huge impact in how events played out, which was very nice in 2011with the amazing game Witcher 2, but now almost every RPG does the same thing, and not many of them could do non linear story well.
I mean i guess it depends on what you play there's a lot of super complex games out there that i really don't understand at all like some strategy games i mostly watch as my brother plays them
Last strategy game I played was Total War: Warhammer II, they were quite good
Ouh... How do you play those kinds of games?
and Endless Legend, and dota 2, and Civ 6, and Gwent, and MTGA - for strategy games (I guess I play a lot of games, but I typically uninstall most of them after 30 minutes, I think only dota 2 truly impressed me)
buy them on Steam or gog lol
lol I think I just misread your last question 😂😂
Yeah uh you kinda did i asked how do you play complex games like that?
Most strategy games have 3 typical components in common: 1. the base building/economy 2. exploring/expanding territory and 3. the war/battle micro/macro management. Just play through the tutorial, I believe all of them have tutorials that teach you basic mechanics (otherwise uninstall it's probably a shitty game anyway 😂).You could learn any game in 4 steps: 1. Understand the rules and the goal (the game should explain all these to you, likely through the tutorial)2. Devise a plan to reach the goal (this step is theorycrafting, character building, or min/maxing stats, feel free to use the internet for guide)3. Actually carry out your plan and play the game4. Reflect on your plan, make changes to improve itIt's not really a linear process but it's quite simple. Just keep the 4 steps in mind, your actual learning experience might go like this: 1 - 2 - 1 (you need to look up some rules and mechanics again, this happen a lot with complex games) - 2 - ... - 3 - 4 (maybe you read some cool strategy on the internet) - 2 (now you make new plan) - 3 (you're having fun)
Thank you this helps a lot! C:
rofl can't believe I just taught some 14 year old girl Polya's 4 step algorithm to learn fucking videogames 😂😂😂 my time here has been real productive.
Uh your welcome? I guess XD
I don't play a bunch of video games anymore, but I do like them. They're fun, if somebody gets enjoyment out of something, I don't see it as a waste of time. Playing a video game for enjoyment is no different than somebody watching football for enjoyment, and I've never met somebody who considered sport watching to be a waste of time, so video games shouldn't be any different.
Well said 😄
I'm a video game artist who doesn't like playing video games that much.I just have a few games that I like and return to, but I rarely become interested in new games.I do play some games out of interest in game graphics, but I don't "play play" them.
I like themThey are definitely a waste of timeThey are not boringSometimes you need to waste your time I play console mostly. FPS and rpg are my favorite genres.
Yeah sometimes you just need relax c:
I generally do, but a lot of them have been hot garbage lately, which has caused me to slowly lose interest
I don't get a lot of these new games but I still like the games. Of my days like PACMAN and the whole Pacman family. Donkey Kong, Centipede, Galata, and a few more I just can't remember right now
New games are really good though!
Love them, as the most interactive story telling device its told me my favorite stories and I was a part of them, gamer boys and girls should get together and rejoice for our largely misunderstood fun
Yes! Absolutely lets all celebrate games c:
I used to love them. Spent hours on them. Eventually I lost interest and don't play anything.
I adore them. I'm a gamer myself. 🤓
I find them boring, but I also think that they are a form of storytelling. I am a storyteller, myself, except I use film. I would like to think that movies aren't a waste of time.
Been playing videogames since I was 4 and I still like it no matter what
You continue to be even more awesome c:
Old nes hell ya.. Its fun to get together an relive past technology as its not forgotten...
Video games and anime are two of my favorite things.😄
They're awesome. I've been playing since I was 3 years old.
Love it! Adult life has kinda gotten in the was though bi don't play that much these days
Well I spend about 8hrs+ mostly on OW when Im not busy... Hehe the only anonymous comment
Yes I enjoy them as long as they have a good story line and good graphics.
What games do you play?
All of the Silent Hill Series, Tomb Raider series, Fatal Frame/ProjectZero Series, Alien Isolation, The sims 3
women suck at video games , I don't know why they even play it.
I like them but never play
Horror games and world building ones
Horror games always make me too scared ><
Kinda the point 😅
Yeah i just have to be more brave to play em
Are you more into pure horror or survival horror titles, pure horror being more terrifying and survival horror being less about scary and about themes of scary
Um.. i don't quite understand what you mean by all those i'm sorry ><
Personally I’m into both. Everything from Diablo to resident evil to the forest.
It's fine, survival horror is like dead space and resident evil games, limited resources like ammo and health. Pure horror is like alien isolation and slender , your oretty much helpless and must run away 😱
Ouh i am super scared of the ones where i have no way to fight back ><
Me as well 😅 I'm really good at resource management however so I love survival horror, and games probably why I have that lol
Lol I love alien isolation. Knowing you’re a moment, a bad step away from a painful death, being hunted like an animal, is exhilarating.
Yeah, but in those kinda games that kinda stress makes me lock up too much, which is the opposite reaction I'd have irl
Lol that’s fair. I just enjoy that sensation.
True, then again I got a similar feeling watching friends is magic for the first time lol. I think it was like cringe induced paralysis 😂
Lmao what the hell is that
Gen 4 my little pony, premiered in 2010 😂 oh what a time that was to be alive
This went from horror games to ponies XD
Lol let's get back to games then, there's also games like dead rising which really arnt scary but just have the same theme as a horror game
Dead rising was ok but left for dead and dead island were fun as hell lol
When I'm in the mood to just kill a crap ton of zombies dead rising is the go to, left for dead is still good but way more fun with friends, and I had a harder time getting into dead island, though one punch mode was funny
Lol Dead island is fun if you love fucking with rag doll physics. Like kicking zombies down cliffs or big stairs.
What about dying light?
Haven't tried it, bit of a panic from what I've seen
Haven’t tried that one yet. Looks fun though!
Its great actually but i haven't played it much since its so scare though i like the parkour stuff
Yes I play games a lot.
To many to name. But I like fps games like COD and battlefield. I do flight simulators. Real and fake online poker games. Battle royale games. GTA V. Stuff like that.
I play a lot of rpg games
Nice, I play a few rpg games.
I think they’re cool and fun.
I do nothing but play them
I am somewhat worried but then when i think of it thats almost all i do too 🤣
Atm i mostly play mmos or rpg games so they typically require a lot of time investment anyway
I haven't really put much time in to mmo games cuz i know they drain me of time and life ><
Tbh you dont need to invest a lot of time.. just like an hour a day or two is enough to grind a character pretty quickly
I guess so but all of them are really complicated though wouldn't know where to start
Couldn't agree more, video games and music 👌
Oh noAnOwO girl
What do you mean i'm very confused!
Im sure you are
Nah, you are too young and too deep into the OwO to be saved.
Oh no ><
Gosh, it’s worse than I thought.
Help me if its worse!
they give me life
