Yeah, definitely. All good music invokes emotion, be it happiness or sadness or anger. Music doesn't need to have lyrics, either. Classical music still strikes hearts of millions of people. Take the Moonlight Sonata, for example. Listening to it, actually listening to it, can make you feel just how depressed the composer was.
Depends on the song. It could be from the lyrics to it reflecting the time you heard the song at a certain moment in your life.
Yes, but it depends on the song. It can affect my emotions both in a good or bad way, some songs get me so energetic and excited.
It depends on the music and lyrics because different ones can make me feel differently such as happiness, heartache, love etc.
Yeah in one way or another. Good songs make me cry and my soul transcends my body and time and the constraints of the universe into this ineffable infinity and I feel immortal like I left the deepest, darkest, purest, and most profound essence of my soul in the ether and in that way my spirit will live forever and I'll always be felt and never forgotten as a faint projection of my consciousness or life force or whatever I don't know a better way to explain it but that's the gist of it. It sounds confused because it is because English or really any language doesn't have the means to capture something so far beyond our understanding. Anyway they make me feel more intensely than I'm starting to feel anything else ever could whereas bad songs (if you could even call them that) piss me off more than anything else in the world and I mean that in all seriousness.
What do you mean by emotional? By emotional do you mean feelings? If so, music can provide therapeutic comfort in times of stress, sadness, or uncertainty to some people.Music can evoke nostalgia by reminding the listener of a loved one or friend and by transcending them to a blissful or painful history of their life.
Depends on my connection to the lyrics.I have a strong connection to songs like "It's Been A While" by Staind, "The Science of Selling Yourself Short" by Less Than Jake, "Goodbye Lulu" and "Misanthropic Drunken Loner" by Days N Daze, and "She Talks To Angels" by Black Crowes
What does "emotional" mean let alone "emotion"? I don't mean to be obtuse and it's not like I haven't looked at all sorts of dictionary definitions, but I still find it difficult. It's like is hunger an "emotion"? We say we "feel" hungry. How about being very excited? How about the state of feeling very calm and relaxed?
Often in terms of usage, most commonly "emotional" seems to describe a person who has intense negative emotions, like someone who is very angry or perhaps most often, someone who is very sad. I find it slightly less frequently used for someone who is very happy. I don't think I ever find it used for someone who is very hungry or very sleepy, or someone who is laughing a lot.
What about someone who is dancing and singing alone? Are they "emotional"? I'd assume they are fairly engaged and having a great time.
* singing along
I listen to love songs so yes! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tA1QryerKWAhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyEUhmmZiQk Sorry try not to cry from the emotions! I still love ya guys haha! In a stranger loves the internet kinda way!!
I would hafta say most definitely. What kind of noise would it be if it didn't make u feel some sort of emotional tingle? That would absolutely hafta also pertain to any genre. Im a fkn metal 🤘 💀 & whether u "get" the vibe or not, has a lot to do w/ what state of emotional dependency ur psychic vampire is needing. I can't stand country musick... but there are thousands of riffs that I fully dig..
There are types of music that speak to my heart or my soul, and i found out that the music i always had to listen to coincides with my ancestral dna. Epic!! 😎
Yeah, that's kind of the reason why I listen to music in the first place, it's an emotional escape from reality. Whether I am sad or not, it's nice to listen when I'm happy or sad.
Omg yes all the time. I find it brings me pack to different times in my life. Some good and some bad. But yes I can get emotional
Yeah, it’s does sometimes but it’s depend on the song.
It depends on the song and what mood I’m in. Mostly wouldn’t listen to sad songs.
Depending on what the song is it can get me to cry...
SometimesLike, every time I hear "see you again" it makes me think about Paul Walker since the song was dedicated to him
All the time. Especially the sad ones. 😭
Yes, but depends on the song of course 😪🎼
Yes sometimes it does.
If I hear the Avengers theme song I get goosebumps
It depends on the song
