Girl... we're old aren't we? 😑Well I guess it could be worse: we grew up with some good music!!!
@DorkVader oh ladies we are soooo not old! look and listen to Rob Thomas - that guy still looks like Jesus and don't you just want to eat him? no way - he's not afraid and he helped me through a really horrible period of time! but he was always there and he's not afraid and he sounds like a dreamsicle and so do the both of you!
Well, we'll endeavor to keep it Rob Thomas Smooth
@DorkVader did you just say Rob Thomas Smooth? ok hang on - i need to faint. throw up, pass out, coma, near die, listen to him sing "Problem Gur "(ok now yer really killing me!) and you just mentioned him singing Smooth? we try to never go there! it's incredibly problematic!
But he's just like the ocean, under the moon! That's the same extreme emotion that I get from you!
Hope I die
Hey I'm right with you :)
And I thought freaky Friday calling a Britney Spears song classic was bad lol but hearing it played for the adults :)
I liked Britney as a kid. And a tween.
Same here. The you drive me crazy remix was on repeat for hours. Lol but this is from freaky Friday 2003- "I love this song. I am so lame that I would love baby one more time. No, this covers a classic.
I actually like Britney better NOW than I ever did lol. She had a lot of really good songs I didn't have time for

Also it doesn’t make me feel old.
I feel the same way, and I know it's not me getting old because there is still a lot of good rock and pop music, and avant-garde electronic and chamber music are in a good spot also. The fact that almost no one has ever heard of Deerhunter should tell you all you need to know. Quality music just isn't being marketed to the public anymore, and it's for political reasons I won't get into here. Get on paid Spotify and start using discovery there. There are hundreds of great bands, solo artists, composers, and experimental projects that have formed in the past 10 or 20 years and are going strong today.I have a bit of optimism here, because Hildur Guðnadóttir is at the center of modern experimental composition, and people like Nils Frahm and Max Richter are close to being household names. And it's going to be really hard to keep Inhaler off the charts. Once they show up on the radio I think there's going to be a shift.
