Neil's loss was also very hard. I'd seen them live on 9 different tours, and as a drummer, he was my biggest influence.I was in Marching Band in high school, and our drumline made up a marching cadence around YYZ. We did Rush songs in the school talent show every year. Our bass player went on to be a professional who has toured and recorded for 30 years.
That’s awesome , and the fact you are a Rush fan as well I already consider you a friend , And the fact you play drums how could you not like Neil Peart? The guy was a perfectionist on the drum kit , he has always been my favorite and Rush has always been my favorite band since I was 12 years old , I saw them 36 times
@Kaneki05 probably the stupidest answer i've heard. He's not a celeb. He was a musician that thousands and maybe millions of starting guitarists listened to and were inspired by him and without him rock music wouldn't even be like this today.
He's not a celeb? But then you mention maybe millions of people know him and is a musician? Do you need to fact check what a celebrity is lmao. "He's not a celeb" is the most stupidest thing i've ever heard. And again i care why? I really don't care about Elvis death either because he was a celebrity and i don't know them just like how i don't know a random kid who just died from staving in Africa. Sure it's bad and sad but if i started worrying about everyone's deaths then i would be doing nothing but worrrying.
He DID took over the world. He was the main ispiration for most of the starting guitarists in the world so that is pretty big.
Dear Lord, let it be Trump!
@abc3643 Good sir, with respect, it is NEVER a good thing to wish bad things on another! Whether you believe Kharma, or not, when you make wishes of Evil, and Bad things, on others, it comes back on you.I understand that many hate him, and disagree with him, but hasn't there been enough sorrow, and death, with this virus, already?Wouldn't it be more satisfying, for you, and millions of others, if he simply lost the election? Why wish for death of another? :( :(
I believe Eddie completes the 3.. Regis Philbin sadly passed in late July.
@CuriousMufuxka That's a stretch!! 3's come within a week of each other.
3 months? 2 and a half weeks, 1 week.. What does it matter? Mr. Van Halen was in my opinion the GOAT at guitar! It sucked when Regis passed, sucked even more when Neil Peart left earlier this year.
@CuriousMufuxka Whatever you say! I think there is another yet. . .
That was a pretty douchebag comment. You don't care that he died because of an ego? And you hope someone else will benefit from it? Your lack of sympathy and compassion is a huge red flag about personality and you as a person. Get your life together.
@pervertedjester what does his ego have to do with his music? he was one of the most influential guitarists and he gave us amazing music so his fans should be thankful for that
I think you will find Roth had a bigger Ego. Plus if it wasn't for Eddie Van Halen we wouldn't have the makings of modern metal guitar players. You look at most guitar players today rock and metal and all will have been influenced. Why do you think they all play EVH 5150 amps? I get that people were mad when Michael Anthony was replaced by his son but the point is he pretty much invented the whammy bar.
Dude. He wasn't in Led Zeppelin.
But the hope is he went to rock and roll heaven just the same
They said not Covid related, but that he'd been struggling with Cancer for a while.
I’m very sorry to hear that
Sad we lost another soul to cancer.
He dedicated his life to music, inspired millions of people to play guitar and all girls have to say is he was hot? and then girls say men are shallow
@johnsmall23 lol stop being so sensitive. I also said talented, right? I'm a hetero female, I'm not gonna ignore his his hottness
he was 65 dude how was he "that young"?
