Why do people use clowns as a way to exsplain bad people look at how it costed Ronald McDonald a job?

It's more of the horror genre twisting things and making them seem horrifying. Same can be applied to masks and dolls too. There was a time where clowns were seen as cheerful and happy people. But now they sometimes are made out to be happy or just scary, so people are skeptical I guess. There was that one year where police had to arrest anybody that was a clown because they were scaring, killing, or doing some crime (this was around Halloween time).

Maybe because of joker lol? Clowns are used a lot in horror movies as bad people. Clowns are also seen as a "joke" since they are supposed to be funny (?).

In 2016 if all the creepy clown sightings didn’t happen McDonald’s wouldn’t have had to retire Ronald McDonald. On the other side of things Ronald McDonald still lives on through the foundation & the Ronald McDonald house.
