Why new generation rappers are so strange, talentless, dumb and soft as cotton?

They are looking like a bunch of zombies. Not even human. They are mostly so talentless and they are like a troll to the hip hop. Even new generation beats are so soft and there is no even emotion or melody.

I see where ur coming from and I agree that old school rappers are good but I mean it’s for the clout and money 😂. There are a few good ones out there like Xxxtentacion , Tay k , ASAP rocky , and Kodak black. The rest like for example 6ix9ine is trash rl fuckin trash lol. I feel like most of em are troubled kids and grew up in tough areas but if u look at some of them like ASAP rocky for example he has class still and respect. He’s a fashionable guy that gets invited to Gucci and a ton other fashion shows. It’s just different genre of music now. I also like to listen to old school and nowadays rap too

Rap was the best in 90s and in early 2000s. after 2007 it went shit. Only a few serious talented rapper these days to me such as: logic, hopsin etc. but I still dislike whole genre after 2007.

Although there are some talented skilful rappers today like Kendrick n whatnot, I still don’t think even any of those can mimick the authentic sound of golden age hiphop, no one can, I wonder what it was about then in the world that made rap so much better... I guess we will never know, and that style will probably never come back. 😔

Rap was the best in 90s and in early 2000s. after 2007 it went shit. Only a few serious talented rapper these days to me such as: logic, hopsin etc. but I still dislike whole genre after 2007.

Tbf people said the same thing about rappers back in theblate 80s and early 90s. It's only be come a main stream thing about the mid 2000's.

And it's rap becoming main stream that has ruined a lot of it, since it's no longer about being as different and creative as you want. Now it's about following the crowd to make as much money as possible.

But that's just the main stream there are people like run the jewel, josh a, jake hill and many others doing some great stuff. You just need to look away from the charts and find it.

Absolutely agree. Main stream industry have a tendency to favour profit at the expense of talent. The best rappers tend not to be mainstream rappers. They also tend to make less money.

If you look at most mainstream rappers of the past who made a lot of money and yet stayed relevant, most had a business mind too and had the guts to say no to big record labels if their interest clashed with their own interest. And that is why their music wasn't diluted.

New generation rappers are not a medium for society they are just out for the fame and pay.

The old school rappers were a medium if society and they articulated the experience of the time. An artist is supposed to convey messages or express the feeling of society at a particular time, enable people to reflect and digest their experiences, make it easy for people to relate. That is what made the old school rappers great.

Majority of new school rappers are sell outs they talk about garbage.
