And look at these real old rappers:

Rap was the best in 90s and in early 2000s. after 2007 it went shit. Only a few serious talented rapper these days to me such as: logic, hopsin etc. but I still dislike whole genre after 2007.
Same man, 90s hiphop was the best and nothing can ever top it,
Although there are some talented skilful rappers today like Kendrick n whatnot, I still don’t think even any of those can mimick the authentic sound of golden age hiphop, no one can, I wonder what it was about then in the world that made rap so much better... I guess we will never know, and that style will probably never come back. 😔
There is only a few new songs in my opinion that sounds authenticity old school... propo 88 and blabbermouf - flabbergasted
That’s definitely 1
Absolutely agree. Main stream industry have a tendency to favour profit at the expense of talent. The best rappers tend not to be mainstream rappers. They also tend to make less money.
If you look at most mainstream rappers of the past who made a lot of money and yet stayed relevant, most had a business mind too and had the guts to say no to big record labels if their interest clashed with their own interest. And that is why their music wasn't diluted.

What's Your Opinion? Sign Up Now!I didn't make this list, just googled new generation rappers. little wayne has a few nice songs though. Xxx was not that bad too when it comes to talent. But I still dislike rap after 2007.
I agree too many people are trying to do the southern mumble sound. new York doesn't sound like New York.
At least mid west and west coast kept their identity.
That's bullshit, even if you spent your whole life time and x5 times, you couldn't flow like the Eminem in 2002-2006.
That's bullshit homie go talk to DMX face to face and say him that he is a cotton.
