Do u listen to music?

The better question is when do I not listen to music? It's playing when I do everything. Cooking, cleaning, showering, makeup/hair, driving, running etc. Depends on my mood on what I'm listening to. I literally listenand dance to all genres because music seriously just speaks to me. If I ever ask anyone for a playlist, then I'm trying to really get to know them. To me music can be very personal. You know exactly what songs got you through the most painful moments of your life when no one was around to save you, or when no one around you didn't even have a chance to ever understand, they stick with you. Music gives me a way to depend on myself in hard times. Because the thing that no one ever mention and that I just figured out myself a few years back is that the people close to you now, the ones around you that you thought would always be a part of your life, are the ones who will be the first to leave when things start to go downhill. Music saved me so many times. In life, no one, not one person can ever save you, because there's not one person with the same exact affliction. You are truly on your own and that's when you find a whole new appreciation for music. And when I say not depending on anyone but myself... no I don't mean in physical things.. never depend on others for your self worth, self respect, your happiness, or your self love. Otherwise, you will always just be refilling an empty bucket. Music will help you find yourself, to love yourself. My favorite time is when a song you've been listening to for years, just hits you differently and you just know something has changed inside of you💜

I often think that if we were to bring back one of the old great composers- Beethoven, say, or even someone more modern, like Mahler- the thing that'd surprise them most (musically, I mean) is just how much it's a part of our everyday life now. It does take something of the wonder out of going to see a concert- but not all of it, which is really impressive, to my mind. But it's no longer basically exclusive to the rich.
