How many women do you know (including yourself if you're female) who enjoy competative video games that require dex (such as fighters. shooters, etc)?

Question

Dex was the only way to fit in dexterity (do to the question's character limit), but basically any game that is fast paced, competative, and requires quick reflexes, precise timing, memorizing button combos, or managing duel analog sticks to aim and fire quickly.

A lot, a lot. Of course I used to be quite the avid gamer. Ballpark, 10-20% depending on game. That is as far as my own perception goes. Voice calls make it quite clear. Official number is much higher but from experience 1-2/10ths is about right for the more competitive ones.

there's an answer that peaks my interest. Any chance you know the full sample estimate? as in 10-20% of about ______ amount of people? Also would be interested to know game title names.

Well that would be a whole chunk and a few thousand people I suppose. Even so it is just my own estimate. You can google up a real number. Which is supposedly 24% foe CS:Go for example. That somewhat works with my own understanding. Of course I just assume randoms are guys.

Steam does not require gender or name information in order to function, and most gender statistics i've seen from googling center around gaming as a whole rather than by game, platform, or genre, with mobile "gaming" lumped in despite many of them being mostly or entirely automated and almost none require much player input.

I haven't been able to find statistics for the games I've played that are challenging in the respect I've mentioned in my post (and I've played a lot of games). I think the closest I've seen to a way to analyze this properly was quantic foundry's gamer motivation test/game reccomendation engine, but few people know about that, so any percentage found about what a given gender prefers playing is going to be scewed (it's really good at helping an individual describe what they like and is decent at game reccomendation though)

I never played CS:GO though, does it have a feature to keep track of player gender?

Umm my best friend really does love Overwatch.
Personally, I do prefer pve over pvp, and also single- over multiplayer most of the time.

Story and also somewhat of an frustration factor. In a pve game, no matter how hard it is, you learn the mechanics and you're good to go. In pvp it's completely random. 🤷‍♀️ I want to have fun while I'm gaming, pvp turns out to be annoying more often than not.

Just remembered adaptable difficulty is a term for for when a game's difficulty adapts to the player (when I typed it I meant the exact opposite notion, where the player has to adapt to sudden difficulty changes in the game - the latter of which is the primary reason I play games, so it's absence tends to push me away from playing).
