Do you like military movies?

I didn’t even know the military made movies? But I just have two questions: is that the best use of the military budget, and are they any good?
(I mean obviously there’s no major stars in them, ‘cause surely if the military is making them, they’d star actual military personnel, right?)

I like some. There were some really good ones in the 60s and 70s.
I LOVE anything about WWI or WII aircraft.
I enjoy movies where really bad guys get seriously fucked up. The problem with so many military movies is that they portray U. S. aggressor forces as heroic do-gooders and the people they are invading as terrorists. I hate that.

I don’t really like many military movies having been in the military myself. Very few of them actually depict the reality of military culture and life. They’re trying to sell a fantasy and that fantasy is created by Hollywood film makers rather than real veterans.

No, they’re gross because the usually show how military men rape the hostages and it makes me angry. Always when there’re military guys they’re forcing women to have sex and they don’t even cut the scenes💔😑

Yes I like those types of movies. My favs would probably be American sniper and sgt Will gardner. I prefer the back stories to these movies compared to the war parts of them

Yes I do. Especially strategy. You can learn a lot from it. Be it psychologically or messages in the movies.

For me it's Full Metal Jacket & Red Dawn. My Father served 3 tours in Vietnam so I watch a lot of Vietnam based movies and documentaries.

Yes USA Civil War, American Revolution War and Vietnam War.

Why them because I had my own family members in these wars and it gives me a idea of what they themsevles went though

I would say I do. My favourite has to be Joyeux Noël - a french movie about the Christmass truce in WW1. The intro alone is fenomenal.

I like such movies if they are more about the people and not just about blood-and-guts. My all-time favorite television series is Band Of Brothers.

I enjoy them. I saw Greyhound on Apple+ TV with Tom Hanks. A very entertaining flick.

I liked Platoon and Full Metal Jacket.

I never knew Oliver Stone was in the military and involved in that battle scene at the end of the movie.
