What about shouting?
@scooogy She is so laid back, never heard my mum shout. Shouting at kids generally has little effect. Especially at little tots. It is so easy to make a child think, "mummy doesn't love me".
@juicyjessie reminds me of my sister and her son, who both seem to have hardly any problem with him going to his grandparents without really asking.
Thank you for MHG!

What sort of fucking backward society do you live in?That shit is illegal in the UK.
Unfortunately it is not illegal in the US
As I’ve stated, I’m against it myself
Yes, but you also stated that its not only ok but your duty to look the other way when a 1 year old child is being beaten.
I did not say that. Intervening will typically do nothing but further enforce the behavior. If the child is being abused it’s best to call the appropriate services. And as I’ve stated, again, it’s not illegal in the US to administer spanks to a child so it may not even be seen as abuse depending on where the asker lives. There is a lot of missing information present to be able to give an accurate answer.
My sense of right and wrong is not defined by local laws. There is no missing information, the child is 1..One.What about that is lost on you?
The missing information is, again, it is not considered illegal in places. So legal action to prevent the abuse may not be an option.I’m not saying it’s not wrong. I’m saying without further information we can’t give accurate advice as far as the appropriate authorities to call.
So call all of them and if you dont get any sense out of them keep calling whoever they answer to until you are trying to have a conversation with Trump. What i find alarming and the reason i am pushing this point with you is that you personally think that its wrong and yet you seem happy to give her the benefit of the doubt even though there is no doubt to be had, so if someone like you won't challenge this behaviour, who is going to? or must the rest of your society be like? Its not ok, at all. There is nothing that a one year old could ever do that would justify yelling and spanking them, there is no grey area here.
Maybe setting the example that using force to acquire the desired outcome isn't the greatest lesson to teach your child. It comes down to poor parenting, a lack of patience and compassion.
how is that even pervert?
She couldn't even wait 17 more years.
That doesn't answer her question.
@OceanMelon Sure it does. Can you not read?
Can you properly answer a question?
@OceanMelon I just did! You pedophile apologist 😠
No you didn't.But hey, I guess you can't fix stupid people.
@OceanMelon Would you prefer I said "Oh sweetie, let her get some of that 😘😘"
No, clearly you don't understand why people spank kids when they do something really bad.
@OceanMelon I know.It's because they were being naughty. 😉
Sorta. If you did something wrong, and you feel pain when you did it, you are less likely to do it again. Its like when I touched fire, I felt pain and that's when I knew it was bad and I didn't want that to happen again so I know to not touch fire. Or its also like when someone's training a horse and the won't listen when you order them to walk forwards. Some people will use a crop and slap the horse causing pain and most of the time that will get the horse to move, because he doesn't want to feel that pain. Its human nature to try and avoid pain.
