Thank you for MHO 💜
I miss so many things from the good ole days - such as:penny 🍬 and gum. You could get 100 pieces for only $1.00Full-service gas stations. I would pull my car in the gas station and a guy/man would come to my car wearing a uniform. Since gas was only 20 cents/gallon, you could fill up for $5.00 or less. And the attendent would check your tires, check your oil and wash front and back windows. I didn't have to get all dirty either.cigarettes were only 29 cents a packmarijuana was $10.00 a lid - 15 for the real good stiff If your telephone in your house broke, you would have to go to a neighbor's house and use there phone to call 611 which was the number for telephone repair. The telephone man would come out right away and you could get a brand new phone, in any color, all at no charge.I could go on and on. I miss the simple life.
Gas ⛽ was 29 cents a gallon not 20
I remember that stuff, too, sage. I worked at my uncles gas station from 13 to 15 years old. I did that full service stuff. But I didn't have to wear a uniform. LOLWhen I was a kid we went to the 5 and dime store to buy candy and stuff and sit on the floor in front of the magazine racks to read comic books. When I turned 16 and got my first car, my friends and I would take up collections of change of my friends and we could get enough gas for a couple bucks to drive to the mountains or the beach. Drive-in movies were a big thing back then, too.
