Reason being is that it's still not socially acceptable to be gay as a male. It's getting there for sure but people still secretly judge you. Especially if you are a cross dresser. It's more acceptable for girls to be bi and cross dress a bIt because males like girls to be bi.
Even though it is more acceptable for women to cross dress, doesn't mean that all men are comfortable with it. Wow! So cross dressing and being a homosexual is linked? A gay man can wear traditional clothes suited by society that's for men.
I've seen men wear dresses and I haven't laughed. Those who laugh are douches. Clothing is general neutral. I mean, even male babies were nightgowns sometimes, and in the past, male children wore dresses, men wore night gowns.
I'm really not sure why not all of society has caught up to the fact that it's just clothing.
Because dresses are more feminine. And if men wore them it would look weird because it would reveal their something. I believe it's because of that- skirts and dresses simply aren't designed for men. As for why women can wear pants, I think it's because pants are unisex.
It shouldn't be that way! I speak up all the time about it. I want to see a world where someone's way of dressing and they're sexuality doesn't make anyone bat an eye. I want a world where anyone can be who they want without judgement.
Plus, clothes and makeup are awesome why should girls be the only ones who get to play with it? ;)
Why would a guy want to wear makeup? Would you be attracted to guys wearing makeup and a skirt? Guys will only care about wearing either protective gear or something that pleases women. Unless they are trying to attract other guys or other genders, I don't see why they would want to wear women's clothing or makeup.
i'm scottish so trust me i've seen a lot of guys in kilts. although i do find a guy wearing an actual "skirt" pretty odd. unless used in a fashion way such as: https://www.japanesestreets.com/media/883.jpg
or used for cultural purposes. not all scots wear kilts in everyday life anymore, and i'm accepting of kilts when used in the right occasion. but yes, i find it a bit odd.
I don't think you should listen to what the community or the crowd is saying with regards to dressing as long as you are presentable and comfortable at what you are wearing them do it. Just don't wear those that will get too much attention of men that would cost them to disrespect you as a woman.
This is actually very interesting but I think that the clothes we wear is a form of our identity. Women wear pants etc to bring out their feminine side in a more exposed way (what I think) mostly that is why men pants aren't styled in any way while female clothing are and even if this is true there is nothing wrong with men wearing skirts or female clothing of the sort because we are all equally favored. I say go right ahead and wear them because I for one don't feel comfortable in skirts or dresses I always wear jeans because that's who I am. People laugh at me saying I'm not girly enough but I can't change who I am just for them because the clothes I wear is my identity. What's yours? The way you dress signifies a lot about us and it still doesn't matter If others don't like it.
Both girls and guys wore pants thousands of years before the bible was written...
Right now the social norms are that men don't wear dresses/skirts. However there are men that break the social norms called transvestites, and they are happy doing what they are doing.

Guys should be able to wear dresses.. I am fine with that. In my experience guys seem to take more issue with it because they tend to regard anythign that was generally thought of being female as being weak.. I don't get it and would welcome the change.
it might be because, girls felt mistreated, so they wore pantes to let guys know that they can be strong. and guys dint want to be weak.,. I have ni idea what I am saying just tring to help. I really dont care about guys in dresses you do what you want. I mean some guys were night dresses to sleep in, so why not in public
I do no wear pants and I am shirk. Women don't realize it but it is just as bad as men wearing a dress. But this really is a question of faith and it's hard to explain these kinds of things to the secular world.
It's two different things. A dress will always look feminine while pants can look both sexy on men or women. A man in a dress is either a crossdresser or a sissy. Women remain women even when wearing pants.
I don't know if you've seen many men in Kilts but they are proud. There is nothing to be laughed when a man wears a kilt unless he's doing it wrong. I live in a very Scottish town where there's a lot of men wearing kilts. It's totally normal.
Why would anyone laugh at a woman in pants when it's a unisex clothing item? Dresses are specifically designed to suit the female figure and are exclusively worn by women, so of course people will find a guy wearing them abnormal.
Because liberal cunts are inconsistent. They think they should be able to dress like bulldykes, and think men should show their "feminine" side, but they're grossed out by traps. They just mean metrosexual men.
And by the way, crossdressing/metrosexuality are both fucked up. They may be hypocritical, but they're right in this situation.
It's the way how society dictates the fashion and dressing. They influence how people dress and behave and what is fashionable and what is not. People are swayed by it instead of making choices on their own.
Everyone can wear whatever they want. If you can wear whatever you want then you can't care what people say. In today's world everything goes. So feel free to wear what you want. Boys or girls.
Well. Dresses and skirts were first designed the hide the shape of women's virginas. So at first women were obligated to wore dresses and skirts to cover the shapes. Otherwise , they would be viewed at sluts at that time period.

That is true. I'm mostly just referring to trans males. They get a sex change and are now straight females but before that they were homosexual males.

@Girlygirl111
Maybe we should date then. Love women that always wear skirts and dresses. Shows swag!!!

@Lizzietwentyten
Tell that to old tome Pentecostal women. Women can cross dress.

I was mainly meaning USA. Sorry I didn't specify that in the question. Yes. Confidant men wear kilts. Weak men are scared to when they want to.
Why would anyone laugh at a woman in pants when it's a unisex clothing item? Dresses are specifically designed to suit the female figure and are exclusively worn by women, so of course people will find a guy wearing them abnormal.
Do you laugh at a female airplane flight attendant that's wearing a suit and tie?
No, because that's their uniform...
So it's okay when women cross dress? What if my uniform has to be wearing a dress?
Why is it that men's clothing is the norm if both sexes wear it but not vice versa?
Because there are double standards in society. Isn't it obvious?
I'm here to challenge double standards.
Okay, so how are you aiming to do that?
By challenging women and men to their sexist upholds. Depending which question is brought up, depends the direction I go.

I know a fantastic country where men can be as confident as they want in skirts. It's called Ireland, or Scotland, and they are called kilts. ;)
Exactly. It should be world wide. End male custom mandatory clothes now.
Éirinn go brách, my friend! ;)
