  • Yes they do.
In fact, if you are blond and spend a great deal of time in a chlorinated pool, your hair will begin to get a tinge of green.

  • Yes, they both do, but they damage it in the process. Keeping your hair away from the sun is important, especially when you're in the sun a lot, and for chlorine, I'm not exactly sure if they lighten it by a lot, but in my experience, it damages your hair.

  • not sure about chlorine but yes Sun can but the effect is very little it mostly depends on your genes and the products you are using ...1-2hour of exposure is okay but if spend more than 5hours then it will affect overall health of your hair..

  • I think both do, but sun is very slow. However, they make a product called "sun-in" that accelerates this effect.

What Girls Said 2

  • I would say sun. It has lighten my hair more than being in a chlorified pool. because i dont go swimming much haha. But i say the sun. I know the chlorine is like a bleach but its not that type of bleach to lighten ur hair... im guessing.
