you are quite wrong! My last relationship was with a man who is 5'8". I didn't even notice his height as much as his smile. He was slighly overweight, worked in a homeless shelter so I made more money than he did. He didn't have a high social status... But his personality was what truly caught my interest. He is still one of my losest friends and one of the few people who make me laugh so easily. I loved that he was only a few inches taller than me, as I'm 5'3". I think it depends a lot on a girl and how she was raised, as to what she will go for. Really tall guys intimidate me, I prefer shorter guys.

Guys always say that girls shouldn't peg them all as one. So why are you saying that all girls have that list in that order? These things matter to me, and they are equally important...
1. I am a Christian, therefore I will date and marry a Christian. I want to share the same faith.
2. Personality, I personally go for really manly men.
3. Muscular body, or at least not scrawny, I don't find that attractive at all.
4. 5'9" tall, so I can still wear my four-inch heels and be an inch shorter than him
5. Deep voice
Social status and money don't really mean much to me. I don't care if a guy has the best looking face, as long as I like his eyes.
Have you ever considered that maybe the girls you go for are pretty shallow? Perhaps this is your list:
1. Body
2. Face
3. Personality (coming in dead last)

I kind of disagree. I mean, height matters, don't get me wrong.. But if a guy is really tall with an ugly face then I'm not going to look at him as much as the shorter guy with a good looking face. I'm tall for a girl (5'9") and I typically try to go for taller guys but as it turns out most guys I end up liking are shorter. The guy I'm talking to now is actually just my height.
Your list is way, way off. What I want based on that list:
1. Personality
2. Good face
3. Nice body
4. Height
5. Money
6. Social status
I think it is about right but it does weigh different.

I would say I would look at a guy and look for those qualities in that order (maybe, I'm not sure) but then I would weigh each one differently.
1. Height (20%)
2. Good face (10%)
3. Nice body (10%)
4. Money (15%)
5. Social Status (15%)
6. Personality (30%)
Now after weighing all of it, I would come down to the finalize decision of if he is a total of 70%-80% he gets a C, or a 2nd date.
80-90% he gets a third date...
90-100% he gets more than a third date and I will consider if he is a good fit for me. Etc.
I am 5'3 and I would NOT date a guy who is shorter than me, but I might talk to someone shorter than me but only as a friend. I am currently married to a guy who is 5'8-5'9ish

You not dating a shorter guy I can understand but you actually have to think twice about speaking to him?
I would say something nasty about your preference and how you will end up with a lot of cats based on your outlandish demands... but.. let's leave it at that.
Can't argue with you, the guy I currently have a crush on is really tall, but that isn't the only factor that drew me to him: his brains did (I am a zombie after all), and it doesn't hurt that his eyes are mesmerizing...
Though I have liked short guys before, this one guy was around my size or 5'6 5'5 but he was awesome! Again he was and is really smart, he knows how to dance and play instruments, plus he wasn't afraid to be in choir or Drama, and he is a real funny guy. And no he didn't have that much of a pretty face or great style but he cleaned up nice ;)
well I'll put it like this way, yes tall guys have an advantage..but I've liked short guys too. it probably won't be as easy for a short guy to just approach a woman he doesn't know like a tall guy could, but you guys are and can be attractive. if a short guy is good looking, in shape, dresses nice, and is confident and fun to be around he can increase his chances a lot. I've seen short guys (i'm talking less than 5'6!) with some beautiful girlfriends and had a lotta game so it can happen, just don't use it as a crutch and act like that's the reason why you can't get girls...yeah maybe you might have to work harder but guess what your not entitled to get a girl just because you want one
I don't know about that ...a guy who is 5'7" or around there - in other words, not friggen' tall like a giraffe ;) - is a lot easier to kiss, if you wanna "grab him and take him". Plus, didn't someone else here say having sex standing up was easier? Yeah, what TOXiCLOV3 and The-All-Star said. :-)
5'7 is short? I'm 5'7. I have dated guys who are 5'7. so maybe it's something about the girls around you ? I doubt height is the only factor. I've dated a guy who was slightly shorter.
I'm saying girls instinctively don't notice shorter good-looking guys as quickly as they notice tall good-looking guys. Height is like a homing beacon to females.

Yeah, I think the girls on here that say height doesn't matter are actually a very small minority. I do think I have a decent face, honestly. But girls don't really notice me too much and I'm pretty sure it's because of my height 5'6-5'7. Especially if you take into account most girls my age are about that height or even taller.

Some may think that, but I don't give taller guys any more attention that I would someone my height. First thing I notice from across a room is their face.
I'm 5'4 and my boyfriend is 5'3. The height didn't bother me, it was the age. He's a year younger than me. But we got over it.
I also notice a personality right away. I used to go for looks but as I grew older I found that personality is more important. Now I seem to go for the nicer guys, rather than the hot ones.
You can't notice a face from accross the room. Cuss girls aren't looking at my face across the room and it's quite nice.
Well I did say it's what I notice, not you.
I do notice the looks first, not how how tall they are.

Haha I knew I shouldve went anonymous. I could get a lot of ass if I wanted, but I'm after quality not quantity. The truth is I need to hate women right now, because I can't afford to have one in my life at this point in time. They are 90% liability 10% good to have around.

You shouldn't really criticize people if you are not in their shoes. Jaded yes, but a good portion of what he says is right, or else you will never hear short guys complaining about women and the Napoleon Complex.

i think you list is quite wrong, although your point is right for most girls. They like the tall handsome, fit boys. For me I am 5'8 and I would be perfectly happy with a boy who is 5'7 or 5'6.
my list would go like this.
1. PERSONALITY (which is a BIG thing for me)

3. Nice body( it really doesn't matter as long as they are aren't overly muscular or obese)

5. Social Status

Who said height doesn't matter? It's a biological thing, like how men tend to prefer hourglass figures.
And what's with the assumption that attraction follows a list? It's a package deal. If you can't stand someone's personality, you're not going to want to be in a relationship with them. If you aren't physically attracted to them, you won't want a relationship either. There has to be a balance.
Height...you're right about that. Tall guys are more cuddly, they have those big bear arms and give you huge bear hugs where you can get lost in. They engulf you with their body literally...which is comforting and adorable. And I simply feel safer with a bigger man next to me. And I don't like the sun so he keeps me in shade too... Haha =
That list is true. It's just in a different order.
You're right, being attractive is number 1.
But once you get into the relationship, personality is WAY more important.
Good looks help a lot, when you first start the relationship, but after a year or two, personality, compatibility and chemistry (including sexual) are the real factors of the relationship.
I think all of it ties together..
Girls want a guy with a height nice for theirs,not shorter,but not too much taller.(at least for me and most girls I know). Also,when I see a guy with money,I tie it to personality traits that usually correspond with money. And yeah,you need to look good.
for me since I am tall you're pretty much right..
height is my #1 priority since I'm super tall for a girl. then personality, I'm not too picky when it comes to faces as long as a guy is decent looking.. then body/build. I'm not big on money since that stuff doesn't really matter to me. so my ideal guy would be tall, cute face and a fun nice personality.

I'm 5'7 I hate my height, and yes girls will notice them first in the room and may come off more attractive at first hand, but that just means you got turn the charm on and go get her first. Look at the girls posts it's a 50/50 so take your chance you may win you may lose leave the duds for the tall guys.
