When he asks why, I can say I read something online, and I think these anklets might send the wrong message. Then it's up to him. I've heard a few people comment about which foot it's on, similar to the meaning of guys who have right or left ears pierced, but the people I've heard who claim anklets are slutty don't distinguish which foot it's worn on. I've been seeing a lot more girls wearing them in the past couple of years, especially younger women like you, even in semi-formal attire. And considering that that UD definition was from 2010, I think the trend is shifting back to anklets being more classy than trashy. Young women can make that happen if you just wear them and bring them back into style. I certainly would love to see that happen.

Yeah, I remember hearing the thing about guys with an earring. I could never remember which ear was which. And then when you see a ring in both ears, then I'm really wondering. lol

Yes, when I was a teenager, a guy with a left earring was doing girls, and a guy with a right earring was doing guys. Guys with both ears pierced did both. Few had both ears pierced, though. Most who had both ears pierced were either rebel metalheads or guys who had traditional piercings, like Africans, or in the case of my family, Celts.
