What do you think about tattoos? i?

- Tattoos are very meaningful to many people. Some people will view it as a sort of body accessory while others view it as a way to display something of meaning or value to them.
1|00|0Is this still revelant?Tattoos don't mean a thing to me. It's like piercings. Purely for asthetics reasons :)
Im a bit of both. I haven't got mine yet but I know what I'm getting. It has meaning but will also look good.

2656- Sometimes they look awesome, sometimes they look shit. I don't have any and am not interested in getting any. But for people who do have them it's their choice and I don't judge. I once worked with a guy whose whole body was tattooed, his entire bald head, face, neck and arms were tattooed. Personally I thought it looked too much much and to many people his appearance was off-putting, even scary. But actually he was a genuinely decent guy, very easy to get along with and talk to, great witty sense of humour and considerate of others in the workplace.0|00|0
- Creating art on your body has been around for along time.
Body art became fashionable and
The art spilled over to mimicing others with tribal tats for men and girls began showing tats that looked like Sponsored stickers on a race car. No flow to it.
I personally like a left sleeve in darker colors on a girl.
the breast tats thigh tats almost mural like is a bit much.
And not a fan of the bows that imitate thigh hi' s. But that one opinion. I would rather date a girl that has a few piercings and a left sleeve than get myself, i think
A back bone tat would be more me.0|20|0 - It depends on the person. All of mine have meanings to me. I am working on a sleeve of marine life with the SC flag, because, growing up, my family told me to always take a piece of hone with you, and I travel a lot. I have a compass on my chest because my dad gave me a necklace when I was 14 (got the tattoo at 19), and it says "wherever life takes you, you'll always be my son". And I have 2 swallows on my chest as well, because I sailed the Pacific Ocean, and it's part of sailing history/tradition.0|00|0
- Personally, I find tattoos to be a major turn-off, but that's just me. There is a huge chunk of the population that thinks exactly the opposite. Some are artistic expressions, some are proclamations of religious faith, some are in memory of a deceased or otherwise absent person, and some are the result in drunken impulses.
I girl I dated for years who was aware (or at least should have been since the topic had come up before) how much I don't like them decided to get one anyway while I was gone for a job-related trip, and while I actually liked the story behind why she got it, and at the time thought I could let it slide, I credit that to being the beginning of the end and realizing that we were going off in different directions.0|10|0 - I have one but I don't care for tattoos myself. A few are okay but the all over body tattoos is too much and will not look good when older. Face tattoos are awful and just look horrible, they distracting and can actually take away your natural beauty. I think people are slowly starting to pull away from tats for a more cleaner look professionally and personally but it's still pretty popular as of now.0|00|0
- Do you wear make up, get your hair done, wear jewelry, bedazzle your phone case or use any other type of accessory to show yourself off? There are some people that get tattoos just for the love of the art and some that get them to make themselves stand out, though with the number of tattooed people now it doesn't work as well as it did, and then there are people like me that their tattoos are like Egyptian hieroglyphs, they tell the stories of their lives, the lesson, the loss of loved ones, the hurt, the joy, the love they have felt. There is a story that goes with everyone of my tattoos and I love when people ask about them because I can share the memories that reside in my heart.1|00|0
I never share my deep memories to anyone because it's not that important. Let alone having a tattoo to show the world. It ain't my style
- It's about self expression and affirming one's own identity. In the same way that we express ourselves in how we dress, you can think of tattoos as another avenue of expressing one's own image of their self. For example, I could choose to tattoo a pack of cigs on my left arm and a bottle of liquor on my right arm to make my vices conspicuously evident. The tattoo doesn't have to mean something to someone else, but to yourself. And your skin is merely the canvas to illustrate who you are.0|00|0
Self expression is not really important for me for many people to see. Does that make sense? Even dressing up, I wear what is comfortable not expressing myself because I could care less
You're missing the point. I already said that the tattoo doesn't have to mean something to someone else. It's for yourself. How you present yourself isn't just about how you want others to see you but how you see yourself. You are affirming your own identity. It doesn't mean that everyone needs a tattoo to prove they are who they believe themselves to be. But there is an admirable honesty when someone can show who they are more outwardly.
You are missing my point. People don't really care about who you are, let alone if they don't find you physically attractive. Many like to take advantage of as many people as they can. No matter how authentic we might be. People don't care period. My point was you have your own brain to remember stuff. Inking on your skin to show the world how brave you are is kinda weird and show insecurity in my opinion

I know who I am & don't need tattoos to prove how strong, capable I am. Neither a meaningful memory (that your brain STILL remembers) lol
- Once upon a time tattoos were just symbols that best represented you, such as Native Americans, and other tribal areas like Fiji, the Carribean, Tahiti, India, and etc. Tattoos meant something to the wearer. Usually something like a spirit animal or a symbol of their warrior status
Today tattoos still have symbolic meaning that reflects the wearer, but they can also be fashion. It usually depends on the person on how the tattoo is perceived.1|00|0You don't have to, the only one who actually has to like it is the one with the tattoo.

- I have never seen a woman who became more attractive because of a tattoo or piercing.1|11|0
- I have 3 tattoos right now and I’m looking to get more. All of mine have some sort of significance to me. They all mean something to me, a journey I’ve been on in my life, or a chapter that has passed. I’m not really into getting tattoos just because, I like the ones that have a meaning behind them, a story to tell.0|00|0
- I think its a pointless waste of money plus they come with a lot of disadvantages.
You can tell me all you want, but fact is, that a certain group of people may treat you differently if you are inked and a lot of these people are possible employers.
Dont ruin your chances for a job application, just to "express your personality"0|10|0You know it used to be so true, the stereotypical biker had them and then the heavy metal crowd and spresd to there fans then the Asian influence mixed in with Thousands of years of tradition and it became mainstream. Most companies from police to wallstreets policies are as long as they are covered by shirt sleeves and pants. Fair employment is in Enabled and the person if eligible is not unencumbered by the body art. Now if you ho to the extreme and look like a freak show, all bets are off.
- i LOVE art and self expression & i want a ton more! i also think tattoos are super attractive at least to me0|00|0
- I like them I have seen some really beautiful tattoos and I see it as a form of self expression. But I don't have any tattoos myself yet.0|00|0
- Love! I have 3 and possible plans for a couple others. I only get ones with deep meaning for me. No names.0|00|0
- They suit some people, they don't suit some people. Of course if they keep showing it off then it can get annoying.0|00|0
- I hate Tramp Stamps, and if I ever see one on one of my grandchildren, they're gonna be out a LOT of money when I die. I'll leave them $1.00.0|00|0
- I'm generally not a fan of tattoos on women. I don't care about them on guys cause I'm not looking at them in terms of attraction. If she has a small one in an inconspicuous place I won't make a fuss over it but a tattoo sleeve is like "me" repellent.0|00|1
- It is seen by some as a sort of therapy... taking what has happened on the inside or your past and putting it on your body for people to know without straight up telling them. No tattoo is meaningless. It might show motivation, strength, past struggles, love, etc. it's not just for looks or showing off. It's to show your inner self on the outside.1|00|0
- I know a woman who's dog died. The dog was her best friend. The woman was devastated. She got her dog's name tattooed on her arm. Personally, I wouldn't have done that. But I understand why she did.0|00|0
I mean. isn't it just a constant reminder of sorrow? Like tattooing the name of your girlfriend on your butt AFTER you've broken up.
- I think one or two smaller sentimental tattoos would be okay, but a lot of ink is a major turn off.0|00|0
- For people who have trouble expressing their pain openly0|00|0
- I used to dislike them but they’ve been growing on me lately and I may even get a small one when I’m older. I think they can look very nice as long as they’re not excessive.1|00|0
- A bad ass chick can be so hot in the right place and time but it's also true about the opposite in other words women are beautiful in most all walks of life0|00|0
- My Tattoo is the tree of life. I've gone to a hard time and I did choose to fight for life instead of giving up and die. The tree reminds me of that time and how I won against the sickness.0|00|0
- I love them I think they can be so beautiful and tell a stories it’s art on your body I have 4 my self1|10|0

- They can be sexy, sometimes... most people have tattoos that don't mean anything, so it's just kinda like... why? But everyone has the right to do what they want with their body, so I try to avoid having an opinion one way or the other.1|00|0
Nothing is wrong with having an opinion. That won't stop anybody to do what they wanna do
Oh I know it's not wrong to have an opinion, but I don't like to assume things about people without having more knowledge about them. Just my personal preference.

- Can be pretty cool. I’ve got a few in mind that I’d like to get one day0|00|0
- They are the ultimate form of self-expression but they are permanent so you better choose what tattoo you want wisely.0|00|0
- It's all an ego thing. Nobody ever looks better with a tattoo.1|01|0
- Some are sentimental to the wearer and others are just for show. I currently only have one and it's my nickname. I want more but they're going to mean something to me not just be pieces of artwork1|00|0
- I think some tattoos make the person look more interesting and even attractive. Im not a fan of a lot of tattoos but a few sleek ones look great.1|00|0
I think a person become less attractive to me once I see the reason behind the tattoo
- Tattoos are great I only get em where no one can see em well almost no one lol one day someone special will get to see them0|00|0
- I'm a bit mixed on tattoos. I like traditional style tattoos and symbolic ones, like pagan themed, etc.
But on the other hand, they don't age well.0|00|0 - I think if you like tattoos it's grate. But if you don't like you need to respect all the opinions. I like tattoos a lot. And I think the guys with tattoos are sexys 😄0|00|0
- I don't like them, especially on women, it takes away from their beauty because it looks masculine.0|00|0
Also I forgot to add, you may have already guessed this, but I would not date a girl with tattoos.
- They are so overdone and trendy that being tattoo-free is more rebellious.0|00|0
- Not my cup of tea but not a deal breaker, I prefer a woman with no tatoos0|00|0
- I think it’s an art form, the same way clothing and makeup is. I can appreciate it, and I’m even fascinated by it. But I’ll never get tattoos.1|00|0
- They can be sexy, meaningful, respectful, religious, private thoughts, reminders, love full, shit and so much0|00|0
- As long as they're done well, I like them, though they tend to not look as great as you get older and the design warps/fades.1|00|0
- If I ever chose to have a tattoo then it have to have a meaning to me!!!0|00|0
- Unnecessary, vain and they are only for other people.0|11|0
- @disgustingweebtrash should get Carp tattooed on his knuckles and @CarpetDenim Weeb tattooed on her knuckles1|10|0
Maybe, but still, not on my knuckles. Knuckle tattoos are trashy, and getting tattoos on your hands is a bad idea anyways. We all use our hands too much, tattoos there will fade quicker and eventually just look like shit. Example:
- Show All Show Less
@CarpetDenim half a heart on Weeb’s right cheek and the other half on your left
- Im in love with your innk and you got hell of a body too.0|00|0
- It looks gross on a girl if it is on the arms, chest, neck... but it looks totally hot on the ass/lower back0|01|0
- They’re awesome! But it depends on if these tattoos are art and whether or not they have meaning- and what the meaning is.1|00|0
- That’s basically what they are now. Before they were badges and stories but now they are just accessories.0|01|0
- Anonymous+1 yDont like a a lot on women but they can look good if you get the right ones0|00|0
- I like mine they’re small, simple, and for the most part you can’t see them unless I want you to...1|10|0
- I dislike them and they turn me off.0|00|0
- I don't care for them.0|00|0
- I don't have tattoos, you don't put a bumper sticker on a corvette.0|11|0
