In the gym, function > fashion. If you can look good in the gym, whilst without anything negatively affect your performance, then fine.I'm short and skinny too and some of them, are overly long and baggy on me, especially in the sleeve area, making me look even skinnier, but I understand that they're their to serve a purpose and that's the main thing, I could easily buy cheaper ones that fit well if I wanted to, but it would defeat the purpose. For me, I buy clothes, at least t-shirts, that are specifically designed for the gym or activewear, like they're all moisture wicking and tend to be made from polyester, as opposed to cotton ones or any that aren't moisture-wicking, as they just stick to your body and feel awkward and uncomfortable on me.When it comes to pants, I either wear these polyester jogger-type pants or tights, as they're functional and serve a purpose - I stretch either and tights are so lightweight and comfortable, like I'd wear more if I had different designs, that are socially acceptable.
I think a lot of women do, and some look really nice, and I wonder why!! I mean, she is working out, in something cute, and sexy, and sweating. What lady wants a guy approaching her, and asking her out when she has wet, sweat-stains all over, and her hair is a mess?Ladies, PLEASE explain!! This makes no sense to me!!From a guy's perspective, she is just exuding pheromones, and just maybe 'erotic' to some, like me, but what woman would be open, and liking, meeting some guy she might like, and date, in that state? So why dress nice, and 'cute'?
Not particularly. I bought some gym joggers from h&m nothing fancy. Im aware that i dont want ti attract male attention so leggings was off the list. I used to wear leggings when i used to go running but yea that was rather risky as I encountered some inappropriate men. I usually wear vest style tops round neck high up above cleavage. Im just not looking to promote a come and get me attire. That doesn't stop some people approaching me at the gym but it gives them less to overtly lust over (?)
Thanks for mho
I always try to make sure that I am confident in the way i look. So i probably put a little more thought into what I'm wearing than someone else might, but I don't have specific clothes for the gym. The t-shirt I wore to the gym is the same one I'd wear with a pair of jeans when I'm going out.
Have an opinion?
Generally i buy specific stuff, but if I am not home and I forgot to bring my workout clothes I just improvise. Anyway, I don't spend a fortune, in the past 6 months I mostly wore 2 outfits (yes, I was them in between sessions)
Yeah I do, but I nearly always take care that I do look put together
It wouldn’t be right “dressing nice” for the gym. People typically wear athleisure or similar sports clothes for the gym, & that is NOT a form of dressing nice 🤮😅 I, however, dress in a dapper suit when I’m exercising 👔 How? Other than daily strolls, I participate in swing dancing lessons, and we all know the culture of jazz and swing usually involves dancing wildly in elegant attire 😍🎩 THAT’s how you dress nice for working out 💃🏻🕺💪🏻
Nohhh I literally wear t shirts that I get for free when I attend certain events, LOL. I am planning to buy some cute and modest workout clothes though. I recently made the switch of wearing only full sleeve clothing that covers my wrists in public so I'm gonna buy some cute t shirts like that and arm sleeves for my existing t shirts.I'm very beauty conscious, I am very conscious about my dress-up but I absolutely don't care about looking like a car crash at the gym.
I usually wear biker shorts (going commando of course) and a sports bra when going to the gym. I always shower and change at the gym after I start to glisten from my workout.
Well, I would buy some clothes that are made to be used in gym for practicality purposes rather than for showing off on the IG. But most of the times is just my gym t-shirt and my pants and I'm ready to go
Hell no. I do have gym gear, but nothing that's skimpy or barely covers my ass or chest, lol. I'm there to get in shape, not try to look cute
I throw stuff on that looks half decent, but I don't care. certain clothes help with workout... when see my msucles!
I have a shirt that looks like one people might buy specifically to wear to the gym... but I got it in 9th grade because it was purple and on sale and i needed something to wear for PE.
T-shirt and leggings or T-shirt and shorts is my go-to. My thought process is that I’m there to work out, not put on a show.
Yes I buy specific clothing for the gym, it's reinforced the mind state that I am here to work out and give it all I got.Mostly wear black gym top and tracksuits as well as sometimes gloves
Baggy clothing nobody has time to be in the gym all cute. I see a few girls in the sports bra and yoga pants taking pics of one another that’s about it
I mean, if I go to the gym it's not really to put on a fashion show. I just wear comfortable sport clothes.
I dress like a bum. It's the only way girls will leave me the hell alone.
Depends on the mood! If this is a late night work out, I will show up looking like a complete hobo... But if I workout during the day and I have some errands to run afterwards, I will take much pride in looking cute/presentable :)
I don’t wear super ugly clothes, but other than that I don’t care too much.
I have some shirts that I use just for the gym. Same with shorts. The shirts are all black or grey and so are the shorts. I just try not to go the same colour from up to down and I am good.
I have clothes especially for working out that is why I dont grab the first old T shirt I have and put it on or some old leggings. That is why work out clothes are made of, so you dont use your own T shirts and wear them off.
I don't go to the gym but if I were to I would try to find something comfortable but nice looking to wear to it, who am I kidding though I'd probably just wear the same thing as when I go for a run, t shirt and generic shorts.
I exercise in the park now. I normally wear shorts, sneakers and a t shirt. Now that its getting hotter I might run without a shirt
Some of my favorite outfits are for the gym. They have comfy pants/ shorts then the tops usually have funny sayings on them.
I wouldn't say i dress "nice" but I do wear proper gym attire.
On the rare occasion that I a drag actually drag myself to the gym I will buy specific clothes for it. And yes, I'll go for nicer stuff so I don't look like a grease ball or something.
Nope. Just cheapest i can get. I'm there to work out, not a fashion show
I even had seen ladies wearing make up to go to the gym and I go like "WHAT THE HECK"?
I just throw on a tight shirt that matches my shoes and black basketball shorts
I think I look nice enough. Everything is clean and comfortable some sports t-shirts but nothing too fancy.
I go in gym clothes, clothes designed for wicking away sweat and such, don't particularly care how they look
I have a lot clothes at home, but i never wear expensive clothes, i just take random t-shirt cuz sometimes i tear my clothes when i train
I have a lot of clothes for working out. It just makes it better to workout and gives me confidence lol
yes, I like using my workout clothes, I like feeling that I am using the appropiate clothes. by the way, I feel uncomfortable when I don't use it.
Just a t-shirt, shorts, socks and shoes if I'm doing cardio or just swimming trunks if I'm swimming laps in the pool.
Lol hell no! I sweat so much I’ll ruin anything i wear lol. I basically wear rags to the gym lol
No.its a tank and shorts and hair up lol. I don't care about what I look like there.
Most of the time I just grab something to keep myself legal.
I come there to work out. So anything that is comfortable for doing just that is fine.
No clothes specific for the gym no, but athletic wear yes
Depends, if I feel like not wearing nice clothes then I'll wear a shirt & shorts since I'm an introvert I don't like getting attention like other girls so I just keep it casual
I don’t see the point wearing nice clothes that I am going to sweat in.
Just throw on whatever, there to workout not get hit on or hook-up.
No one cares what you're doing or what you look like. They're too concerned with what they're doing and what they look like.
I would just jump in the pool with standard swimwear.
Nah not really I am there to work out not to pick up chicks.
I just use work out clothes, preferably in non-synthetic fabrics.
I find the old t shirts that dont look good anymore..
I don't need the gym because I am naturally built this sexy.
I have specific clothing1. Tank top (I used to wear T-shirts in the past before building my muscles 😂)2. Sweatpants or three quarter pants3. Adidas sneakers
I buy cheap athletic clothes. Generally looking more for quick dry fabrics etc, but I don't pay up for looks.Spend slightly more on equipment, enough to at least mitigate injury risk.
No, I went to the gym with school so I wore my PE kit.
I buy specific clothes for the gym but not to look nice just so I'm not getting my nice t shirts sweaty and worn out.
I buy clothing. I've never seen anyone do the latter, thats like a slob
T-shirt shots and you obviously have to buy some specific clothing
I don't. but last time i was their I saw a girl wearing a dress and heels and using the treadmill lol
I'd wear whatever is comfortable and suitable, i am not going to a party !
A clean set of leggings and a shirt will do for me. Something simple and comfy
Well why would someone dress nice just to get covered in sweat?
I buy wicking clothes for the gym. It just keeps you cooler and dryer. I have seen guys at the gym in boots, jeans, and "wife beaters" running on treadmills... to each their own.
yeah I always gotta be sexy. I like to see how many girls I can give a boner to at the gym. :D
I don't go to the gym but I do train at home, I just wear practical clothing
I like to feel cute when I workout, it motivates me to wear pretty workout clothes.
I wear what is comfortable and flettring such as leggings and tanktops
