Not really hand me downs. Cause most of the hand me downs came from my fat teenage cousins. That were not good on my sisters and I, which we were kids. That my mother, especially my father. Found it offensive of their children wearing hand me downs. That they thought/felt of not being good parents of providing for their children.
So my dad bought us clothes at the mall, that having sisters. We were always fighting over the clothes on school days. Lol

I am quite small compared to the rest of my family, so I’ve been wearing my younger cousins and even my nieces hand me downs for most of my life. I can still wear a 10-12 in kids shirts and shorts (not jeans, my legs are too long) and I wear a 2.5-3.5 in kids shoes, so I’ve been cursed with hand me downs. Sometimes it wasn’t so bad- my cousin who’s 3 years younger than me has nice tastes.
yeah but every kid did back then, there was none of this gap kids culture we see today where going out to play is also now a fashion parade. no one gave a shit about trainers ;)
My mom got me clothes from the garage sale and they were in such nice condition, that I did not even notice the difference

I always got soooo excited when my older cousins would give me their old clothes. I didn't have a lot of clothes and they always had cute things so it worked out. Now that we're both older, my sister and I will run our old clothes by each other before throwing it in the give-away pile. It's always nice to get new clothes ;p
Yes, I did. I got embarrassed about it once I got into middle school but my parents were busting their asses to make ends meet so I didn't complain. A lot of the other military kids wore hand me downs too. My mom thought it was more important for us to be able to play sports than to have brand new clothes.
My daughter wears hand me downs too. She doesn't care (yet).I did and I hated it. I had two older sisters that handed down quite a bit. That would have been fine, except I started getting chubby so they started getting tight. It got worse and worse as time went by. Eventually I could not wear their jeans or anything because those were too small, so I had to wear hoodies and sweatpants and things like that.
Always, i hated it, then i began my career at the age of 21 and bought new clothes to wear, but then i got married and had 2 beautiful kids and that put me back to hand me downs. The story of my life... lol!😉😊
Lmao nope.
I have one brother and he is 11 so as you can understand I never wore any of his clothes 😂
But I did (and still do some times lol) steal some of my mom's shirts cause we are about the same sizeNo. Im the first born child and first girl of all my cousins. My sister got all my old clothes though. I didn't think anything of her wearing them and I don't think she did either.
I am the youngest of 6 but I did not wear my 3 older sisters hand me downs so my mom made me or bought me second hand clothes ! she did buy me new clothes when I found some I liked ! thanks
I have six siblings.. I’m the last born...😂 so I had a lot of hand me downs. I actually really liked them because my older siblings had some cool stuff.
I aas the oldest so no. Plus my sis and i were 6 years apart so it was a bit too late by then lol. The only thing i passed down to her was my adorable little toddler swimsuits
Yes i had an older sister that i got her hand me downs lol.. it wasn't fair but it really didn't bother me... but she always got the new clothes... lol
Luckily no, I have 4 brothers before me so I got all new clothes cause I was a girl. My brothers definitely always shared clothes tho
lol great memes there Toots. Thankfully, I think, I didn't get all that much as my older brother was a lot older... so maybe it was some t shirt type stuff but not much more :)
Yes im the youngest in my family so i got everyone's handy downs, hated it so much. I've always been into my fashion so imagine how i felt having to wear out season raggy old clothes
I don't think they would be called hand me downs because I was the only child, but most of my belongings did come from thrift stores, if that counts.
My mom tried to as a kid because I have an older sister but she wears a way bigger size than me because I was always really small
I had to wear my uncles 1960s peace shirts and my some ugly flag bell bottoms.
Yeah, loud baggy and ugly I got it.
Maybe thats why I crossdress today. They drove me to itI did, and also clothes from jumble sales 😐
I just got on with it. I think it’s encouraged me to buy less new stuff and more pre-owner...I was the oldest boy, so no hand-me-downs for me aside from a few t-shirts maybe. My brother on the other hand got all of mine.
Nope, there were times where I borrowed from my older sister's closer but that was a personal choice. The rest was new.
Yes but not much really. It didn't bother me at all. Most clothes were worn out before they were hand me downs anyway... LOL
