the niqab isn't enough though is what i've read
neithers anything other than what jude law wore in contagion but its better than nothing and i think thats the point
@update i can understand that but watch the jonothan pie youtube vid... it does point out that the discomfort of the mask is far less uncomfortable than having a ventillator tube rammed down your neck... plus its quite a funny clip ;)
put a fucking mask on lol
brilliant isn't it?
i didn't realize the British were so behind on that one
a lot were but it was down to teo thinks... awful government advice and lack of availability of masks when the epidemic first came to our shores... it goes a long way to explain why we saw so many deaths here... here's jps latest vid on government advice as regards our kids being sent back to school...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JXdd8WzaK-Q
he's passionate. why isn't he running for office?
obviously that is just a character he plays... the pissed off news reporter but when you get to know his true politics he is a believer in hypernormalisation like me which really means there's no point in ever becoming part of the machine
the machine isn't going away in our lifetime. but someone that follows politics closely and wants his ideas to be heard even if comedic. like jon stewart, stephen colbert and the like
making people aware is good and as far as im concerned if you can't beat the machine you can still look at ways to escape its grip so ofcourse satirists can make people think about that aspect of it all... interesting thing about pie is he attacks the left as much as the right... look at his stuff on woke and cancel culture... he shows it all as a stupid game no one can win like a comedy version of slavjov zizek
it's good to have a middle ground out there. they'd never be on network
they are in the uk... ironically the BBC has to legally provide such material, probably to counter its right wing news programs so we see the likes of frankie boyle talking openly about hypernormalisation and the very documentry itself that sparked it all off is available on BBC i player...
everything was much easier when it was food and shelter
which is why i bought my place in bulgaria ;)
that's very helpful!
why are so many people think you're not, that's so dumb
