there's no reason a guy needs to shave. Plus more likely he'd get ingrown hairs and red irritation patches because his body isn't used to getting shaved and that wouldn't look attractive.

Depends if he has ugly Bush like monkey hair then I prefer if he Trims. I do prefer hair on men but the guy has to look really masculine to suit it.
