My rose gold hoop earrings have turned from rose gold to just gold any way I can restore the rose gold colour of them again?

I really loved these earings, but now they've changed from rose gold to just gold which I'm really upset about. I don't know what happened or what caused them to change their rosy colour into a gold. But isn't there some type of way I can polish them on my own using some type of product to restore the copper colour again? So disappointed.

If Rose gold is like white gold, then it's an alloy. If the whole thing isn't solid rose gold but a rose gold coating, maybe a jeweler could help?

I'm not sure if the coating would just come off though, maybe it just looks different due to lighting?

I'm really starting to think that it was Just a rose gold coating and not actual rose gold earnings. And is there any DIY method that I can do by myself Instead of taking to the jewellers? It would save a lot of money...
