I think it's got some truth to it, sure. I've seen some incredibly youthful-looking old black ladies. I mean, my god, Angela Basset looks as good today as she did 30 years ago.
Other examples: Halle Berry. Gabrielle Union, Sade, Naomi Campbell. Of course I'm partial to Nichelle Nichols myself.

I have seen some black people that definitely look old. Grey hair and weight gain are indicators. I have seen lots of Asian women that you honestly can't tell if they're 20 or 40, but that's mostly if they live in Asia and eat healthy. As far as Caucasians go, I've noticed that a 40 year old Canadian white person can look a lot younger than a 40 year old Caucasian from the southern United States because of excessive sun exposure.
It's true to an extent. If you live a healthy life and stay unproblematic, you'll barely visibly age. I'm 25 and most people older than me think I'm 19-21. My dad is 52 but looks 35. My aunt is 58 but looks 40. Most of my family looks a lot younger than their age except the small few who have had issues with alcoholism, drug use etc. But that goes back to what I was saying about staying healthy and unproblematic.

Everyone ages, but what looks better or not is subjective. Wrinkles are less visible than other groups.

It's meant to be a compliment about people with darker complexions having skin more youthful than their age, but I can understand if someone might possibly find it insensitive.

It is true Black does not wear out easily from wrinkle and it just ages gracefully and peacefully. So that saying came from that main point of not ageing that easily guess it is all about melanin.

It's true. Grandma is in her 80s and barely has any wrinkles. None of the women have wrinkles in my family. We share African and Native roots.

Yeah it’s true, they always look younger than they are because of melanin in their skin so less wrinkles
