My churchmate says my sister is prettier than me. What advice can you give me in order to feel better in this circumstance?

Ouch. Well the only saving grace here seems to be that she didn't say it directly to your face. But why did she say it to your mom? And why did you mom tell you? (Hopefully you didn't overhear because she wasn't being discreet, or you didn't try to drag it out of your mom to tell you.)

It's probably time to try and accept the fact that church people are often no better than non-church-going people. They're judgmental hypocrites, in fact, a whole bunch of them. Many people walk away from church culture later in life, when they see the hypocrisy.

Maybe most people would agree, you're not as pretty as your sister. Nobody should ever say that though. What's the point? It does nothing constructive, and it's none of their business. More people should keep their opinions to themselves. Maybe you have other qualities that make you better in other ways. But otoh, all of this comparison stuff is not a good idea. We have to keep ourselves in check, but always measuring yourself against others only leads to unhappiness.

So Part I here is to try and ignore this woman. Her opinion has no value. She's not worth your emotional time or energy. Stay away from her if she's this shallow and judgey.
Part II is to try and recognize that external beauty isn't everything. Some people are more attractive than others, and unfortunately that's life. You, as a woman, have many things you can do to make yourself look a little prettier, put together, etc., and at your age this stuff does matter to you so do what makes you feel good about yourself (don't seek validation through sexual attention though. That's a bottomless pit there.) Look at the big picture, try and put ego aside, and think about all the different personality and character traits that make up a person. There is so much more to you than the external, and especially one woman's opinion.

I can relate my sister is always told she is prettier and better. I have worked to accept that beauty is subjective and someone out there will think you are breathtaking and stunning but until then build your value in other areas and learn to embrace your own beauty !!!

Who is a churchmate? I do not know the concept.
Besides, I dont think her opinion should matter to you. If other people find you attractive, thats it. And I am all for self-love, but looks DO matter in the world. That said, beaity is in the eye of the beholder.
I don't know how you look but I am sure you are much prettier than your sister. Maybe the churchmate has some strict criteria to define beauty. Dont worry yourself over that.
