Sales associate gave me the wrong stuff?

I went to a makeup counter and asked for waterproof mascara and red lipstick and she gave me the opposite of both I got non waterproof and pink lipstick when I looked in the bag. This was at the chanel store. I just went back to get my refund instead of exchanging because I felt she did it on purpose. She said oh all the boxes look the same to me. Why did she do this?
