It's interesting. The body being a temple is an idea I personally hold. I'm glad to see some else has at least recognized the same thing.I can still look at a tattoo and appreciate it's artistry, though. I wouldn't scoff at someone for having tattoos =^)
Fair enough and thank you
There's a lot of association with Japanese mafia (Yakuza) and concerns about hygiene for tattooed people here. I only got one on my right arm but I have to hide it often or else I will be kicked out of places.
That's interesting. I hadn't even considered any reasons besides religion not have any. Very informative, thanksSo then did you move from somewhere else to Japan?
I am from Japan but moved to Singapore for junior high and the US for high school and uni and some work after. In the process of living in the US, I got a bit into drinking and drugs and girls. You know, good times. And got tat there. But then I came back to Japan as an adult and discovered how taboo the tats were.
Hence your name "DrunkAss"?Lol
I got a bit of an alcohol problem. Nothing too much, you know, like everyone knows one of those in their family or friends probably. I'm that one.
Ah, okay. Any particular reason or none in particular? Another user brought up another reason besides religion and it was because of gang relation in Japan.
Just don't want any, plus I have psoriasis so that wouldn't be good for my skin... My daughters both have tattoos with their dad's dates..

Well thanks for your input. The show I watched mentioned melding body art with science to make then not only artful but practical... which sort of leads into the next question I might ask (if I ever do).
I don't care to get any either but I can still appreciate a well done ink job. Thankya man!
Why are you thanking me?
