the biger the belly button pirceing will over shadown the rest of the markings, do small is better, midum is ok, but large is too much.

I hate piercings. I think they are ugly and I question the sanity to some degree of people that are obsessed and super excited to pay to have holes poked in their body.

That being said... a belly button piercing is one of the least "ugly" to me. It wouldn't have been a deal breaker if my wife had one.

On the piercing scale:

I have no issue with a pierced ear lobe.

Belly button piercings and maybe an extra couple of ear piercings... I don't like the way they look but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Facial piercings... now you are really starting to get gross and mutilated looking to me.
I'd break up or not date some one seriously who had tongue piercings, nose piercings and facial stuff.

The worst and most disgusting to me and instant deal breaker type of stuff is intimate piercings... nipple and vulva stuff.

I don't like them but it wouldn't have been an issue.
My wife only has her ears pierced.

They're really pretty and cute when you're young, but as you grow older it can look different as you gain or lose weight. But I say nay, wouldn't get one myself.

Ladies, if you're planning on getting one and getting pregnant one day, just know that it will look like you have two belly buttons. It's not so cute then.

I guess it kind of depends on the overall aesthetic of a gal’s midriff if it works or not, but if she looks generally good with an exposed midriff, I think belly rings enhance that look. The girls of my generation popularized them, so I guess it’s just a look I’m very accustomed to.
