By definition these eyes are hazel, which is precisely a combination of green and brown shades, and because of this, they always seem different and depends on how much light hits them.
So these eyes are not defined as light or dark color, they're just beautiful hazel eyes.

  Yeah I’ve always said my eye color was hazel - I have brown and green ( yellow ish ) in it, but it’s weird cause when I take mirror selfie’s they look blue or gray. But I’m always confused as if people would categorize them as light or dark eye color

I've always thought any indescribable or otherwise un-categorize-able eye color was "hazel" , so that's what I would call these eyes. I like them, I would say they are light in color rather than dark.

  That's my understanding and how I use hazel. If they are not brown, green, or blue, the main colors. Even grey eyes I would probably call hazel instead of grey.

I had a science teacher in high school who told me his eyes were green as a kid but as he got older they began to turn brown and later one eye was mostly brown while the other was more green - it looks like this persons eye is more than than one colour.

  Well I wouldn’t say they are brown - cause they are definitely 70% green, and a small percentage brown and the third last picture they are blue

  If you look around the pupil, there is a slight yellow pigment. Heterochromia can also be two different eye colours. But in your case (and mine), it’s the yellow around the pupil. I quite like mine haha. But your eyes are really nice x
