One day, Roger Vadim saw his wife walking around the house naked, and decided that this was too good a sight to keep to himself; he had to share her with the world. The result was Barbarella, a movie that, technically, has a plot. And characters. But no one really remembers them, what with the whole "in-her-prime Jane Fonda walking around in skimpy outfits" thing. Also the simulated zero-G striptease Vadim put at the very beginning of the movie, so that people who just wanted to see that didn't have to sit through other stuff.

It really doesn't say anything positive about the depth of our culture, but it's a remarkably generous attitude; you've got to give him (and her, too; she did agree to it, after all) that much at least.
