I stared buzzing my head once my hair started to really thin. Because it helps give a man's head more of a uniform appearance once they start losing their hair. Rather then thin on top then thick on the sides and back. That and I was not about to chance being caught outside on a windy day with a comb over or hair peace. Also I can buy a small house with the amount of money I'd end up paying for something like a hair transplant or using a non-stop supply of medication to keep what I had or possibly regrow some.
When I was in high school I had hair length half way down my back. And I have really fine hair so when I put it in a pony tail (for ease, or at work) it looked silly. Kind of like a giant "rat tail"🤣. I have no idea why I thought that looked good at that age. But as I approached my early/mid 20's I lost a bet that forced me to shave my head😆. And it was so comfortable and low maintenance, I kind of decided to just rock that look for the better part of the next 2 decades. Now I wear an undercut. It's not real high maintenance. But it keeps my head from freezing and is still short enough to keep me cool in the summer.
I just think shaved looks way more sexier. Its my preference on a guy

In high school, I would take extra summer swim classes (partly to get them over with, partly because it'd be easier to quickly change AND I didn't have to hurry and shower and get dressed every class, then go outside in freezing weather). I did a lot of swimming recreationally, too. I had a buzz cut for years. I could take a shower, step out, and five seconds later, my hair was dry. It was practical. It was cheap. It was an ok look for me. Thats why I did it.
I don't know. My wife hates them. I wear mine down to my shirt collar. It looks great and she loves it. I get lots of compliments on how lucky I am to have it. And it's cheaper. I pay $55 + tip every three months. That's cheaper than paying $20+tip every month.
I'm not sure what you mean by buzzcut (marines cut?), but I tell my barber to use #2 electric clippers on the sides and back and longer on top.
It has many advantages like clean, simple, fast, cheap, easy to maintain, hides grey hair and hair loss. Not to mention ladies love it, including my girlfriend!
Hair is stifling to me. It traps heat & dirt, gets caught in/on things, plus I hate how you can feel it moving around when you move your head. Drives me nuts.

Buzz cuts aren't for looking clean, they are so you don't have to comb your hair. Just a fast, free, or cheap haircut that you don't have to worry about combing, or so somebody doesn't grab your hair in a fight. People don't have dumb cartoon hair in real life unless they have mental problems
Most men aren't used to using a lot of time on appearance so short hair decreases the amount of work needed to look acceptable, speaking as a man who used to have hair down to my mid-back. (Not that I looked girly, since I had a big beard to counterweight it.) It also looks 'sharp'.

Generally if weāve got less hair in our heads itāll be much easy to maintain. Also itās true about the cleanliness, thereād be less sweat and stuff.

There's some true on what he says. It's easier and faster to wash. No need to comb. I find buzzcut unappealing on most men. Makes them look dumber/problematic.

Nah. I wash my hair in the shower, so I don't just look clean I feel clean too.
