At school recently I noticed that some pairs of underwear women wear have a cut out in the center part of the back. Sometimes this is heart shaped, circles, etc. What is the purpose of cutting that material out of the underwear?
What is the purpose of this in women's clothing?

It's just another way to "accessorize" the underwear if you will, or as other girls put it; it's cute.
I hate to say it but you'll find that a lot of women's clothing styles serve no real purpose or functionality, sometimes it's merely done more so with the intention of how it looks / physically appeals to women's design inclinations. So from a female's perspective, why not have some underwear that have a cute cut-out in them? Personally though, I'm not really influenced by the lack of or establishment of a cut out. For me the color and style is always paramount over everything else.
You noticed it didn't you? lol
the point is, it did it's job and caught your attention.5
Its cute and very appealing to the opposite gender.0
What is the purpose of printing something on a t-shirt, or having those extra seams on the back pockets on jeans? It's just there cause it's supposed to look good.3
Because it's cute. There really isn't any purpose other than that.3
no real purpose besides looking cute1
to make you look at her ass2
It's the design of the underwear - it makes it more scandalous.1
idk it's cute, I guess. but I personally wouldn't wear them.0
I think it's just for style. lol0
