I'm a 22 year old guy 5'5" and 145 lbs. I'm very athletic and my girl friends call me handsome all the time, but when I go to bars or clubs it seems like girls look right through me. Am I just too small to them to offer that sense of protection girls want, or what goes through a girls mind when they see a smaller guy like me?
I'm barely 5'6 and I noticed that it's harder to get attention from girls who aren't that short. But there are plenty of girls who are shorter and most of them are fine with someone our height.
The biggest problem I find is that I can get treated like a boy by other men, and that my physical capabilities are underestimated by people in general.
Hey you're my height too! There are instances where you will be treated like less of a man, but don't let that get to you, just go for chicks shorter than you.
Most girls do prefer a guy be at least their height (unless she is a tall girl). But the good news is that there are tons of girls who are 5'5 and shorter. I know lots of smaller guys who are total players, though.
I don't think girls have a problem with shortness so much as the associated complex a guy has about being short. Very unattractive. Don't over think it, just be yourself.
i think you're fine. I mean I'm 5'6, so 5'5 isn't that small to me
