That's very mature, as you can see though from the responses there's a very real reason for a guy to worry if they're short.
Nah I know there is, which is silly to be honest.Girls can't get mad at guy if they judge on appearance or weight or whatever.. If they won't date him because he's lower to the ground than she is lol. It's ridiculous to me.
Yeah lmao that's true, I don't really understand why height is such a big deal but both genders judge each other so I guess it's fair game even if it sucks
It's the whole 'females wanna feel like the feminine, protected one by being shorter' And guys seem to think if a woman is taller then they lose some of their manhood lol.
I personally wouldn't mind dating a taller girl, it would make no difference to me unless she was like over 6', height isn't as important to guys.
But from countless testimonies over the internet and real life, many females claim that they just aren't attracted to guys who shorter than them. I don't really see how shorter men can overcome that obstacle.
@UnknownXYZSometimes they just won't win that battle, and that sucks. But that's fine because it just means they won't be with a closed minded, shallow person.
Well, if the majority of people have a heights that they are attracted to then you can argue that the majority of people are shallow and close-mined such as yourself.
I'm open to whatever height haha, how does that make me close minded lol?
@UnknownXYZ don't insult people or I'll flag you, got it?
Anon, how is what an insult? I said you can 'argue' that she is shallow and close-minded but she made it very clear anyway that she doesn't care that much for height.. Besides, I wouldn't necessarily say anyway that being called someone close-minded and shallow is a bad thing anyway.
A) She did nothing to indicate shallowness or closed-mindedness, in fact she did the opposite, yet you were explicit in pointing out that you believe she is shallow and closed-minded. B) I do not see any conceivable way that you can call someone shallow or closed-minded without it being an insult. There is not a single context where it is not insulting to call someone either of those where sarcasm isn't being employed. And there is no indication of sarcasm in anything you wrote. Don't try my patience.
How much shorter is a 'deal breaker'?
like 7 inches shorter is too short.
That seems extremely reasonable to me
LOL yes im a very kind girl and many guys whove been too tall or too short to my liking I've adored and who've tickled me absolutely pink!
That's very sweet, I still don't really understand why height matters so much lmao but I guess it's kinda like long legs on a women, some people don't care that much and some people 'need' it.
my legs are long enough lol not suuper long but long and i like a guy whose taller so i can feel protected but its not a deal breaker necessarily.
Yeah I saw someone else wrote about feeling protected, but how does height protect you?
Because many people underestimate a short or small person because they're small. People dont do that as much with taller people. Ttaller people look more intimidating because of their rather large stature.
I know a couple like that, tallest guy I know and shortest girl I know, it cracks me up but they're happy and they love each other so good for them I say.
It was fun at the time :) if it works, it works!
I don't understand what you mean
If they like you, and you "meet their needs."
Women will still have preferences regardless and they shape your odds
True, but many change their minds... women are masters at that...
well in this case that seems like a good thing, it's not exactly a bad thing to be given a chance

Even if he was just an inch shorter?
Yeah I like feeling small compared to a guy because it makes me feel safe and protected. An inch shorter wouldn't really be a deal breaker if the guy had an amazing personality
So you only really feel safe when the guy's 6' or taller?
I mean I guess Id feel safe with a guy that's shorter then me if he was muscialr. But I just really like the feeling of having a tall guy.
Hmm interesting and very confusing
I imagine that when you're over 6' your dating life would get very difficult if you restricted yourself to guys taller than you.
Haha yeah. Most are around the same height as me.
What's the shortest you'd be willing to go?
Probably 4 or 5 inches shorter.
Lmao thanks for making me feel short
I'm 5'11 it's not my fault I was made tall lmao
How tall are you and is there any height that is 'too tall' for you?
5'3, and no not really. My cousins are pro basketball so I guess I'm going to get taller fast.
So do you think your preferences will change a lot?
Nope. As long as my guy is a little taller I'm fine with it.
Well what if you started dating a guy and he started out taller but you grew more?
Hm. Good point. Then I guess I wouldn't care. :)
That's good to hear, that'd be a pretty crappy reason to get your heart broken
Why wouldn't you care?
... because she'd care about the guy?
Yeah, because if I really loved him then I would give a damned shit about his height unless he did.
How tall are you?
And how tall are you?
5'1 or 5'2 depending on who measures me
10 inches is a big height gap, mind if I ask why you like your guys so much taller?
Haha I know, my friends tell me it looks really weird. I don't know why, but maybe just because it's what I'm used to, like all my brothers, dad, cousins, uncles, grandfather, they're all 6'0-6'3 apart from one who is classed as "the short one" at 5'9. I think a lot of people like what they're used to mostly.
I guess that makes sense, as a 5'7" guy I don't care about height really unless you're over 6' or under 5' so basically I only dislike extremes.
Yea 5'7 is still like a normal height, not short yet. You say over 6' so could you date 6'
If she didn't look too awkward
Nice to see :)
I'm pretty reasonable so long as I think you're generally attractive.
Well aren't you just a special snowflake
No I'm not , cos I feel dwarfed here. The women here are all like 5'11 and 6'+ It's like the closer you go to the equator , the shorter the people are , the further you go , the taller they are.
Lmao I was being sarcastic
So 5'4"-5'5" is off the table?
Not really, if i really like the guy i won't care, as far as he is still growing.
Hypothetically, what if he wasn't?
I'm not really sure about that.
so would 5'5" be too short for you?
No need to apologize, it's not offending me, I'm just looking for perspective.
Short guys of the world, there's still hope!
