If a guy likes you, he won't waste an opportunity to reveal, right?

Took a liking to a nice guy. He's always around me, generally as close as possible. He's affectionate ( with his hands & hugs), never discusses girls around me ( even if his friends point out a girl to check out & I know he does mention women around other female friends), he always approaches me ( I'm shy about greeting people), and he brings me up when I'm not there ( if I'm working on a project he'll go tell one of the group members to make sure he's doing his part , & if I'm absent from work he'll ask my friends why I'm not in).

Yet, when asked he said he wanted to be friends. Then he continues those actions from before for weeks. It's not 'me' per set. In a group of our peers, he singles me out in the conversation. If he's walking past me with friends he'll let them go ahead & stays with me to speak. If it's me passing him & his friends he'll call my name and greet me.

What do you make of his thinking & actions?
