When we both want the penis to go inside the vagina. It's beyond just the fun of some manual stimulation or mutual masturbation at that point. When the penis is buried deep inside a woman, it becomes serious enough that we are going to catch and/or enhance serious feelings for each other. And if I'm going to make love with romantic intercourse where both our faces have the look of being romantic as well as the look of pleasurable agony, kissing, holding each other as we have the ride of our lives, etc. it's probably wise to commit to each other or not go there. Also, once you go there, you cannot stop. It happens over and over again because of wanting to go back and feel that closeness.

Long term is best. That means you mean something to him after all the sex. That's a good foundation to have. I know I would want to have my ring on the finger of a woman I was having frequent sex with. Why not? If we like each other that much, and it's more than just about sex, I'd want to spend the rest of my life with my sexy lover and best friend.
