If I comment on someone's post, I have to follow that person. Doesn't matter if they accept or not. I'll reply to a massage if I noticed.

I think it's a bad idea. If they don't follow you back, it's like they're not interested in your posts or in talking to you.

Besides not all profiles are genuine.
